The fish were all in dirty tanks that smelt bad and the fish we bought were sick and wiped out our entire tank that has been fine beforehand for several weeks. This is our last one that just died this morning (see in picture below). They also have so many over stocked animals and just tank after tank stacked on top of each other with dirty bins of water “The vats of doom” and many of these tanks are excessively dirty. I understand a shrimp tank is supposed to have some dirt/ mess in it but nowhere near that much sludge. Next time sticking with petsmart much cleaner, healthier, cheaper and way more humane.

We've gotten pet rats from here for many generations (when there aren't local rats up for adoption). Their breeders to a great job breeding healthy, friendly rats, and they clearly care about them. The generally exceed their 2 year average lifespan and live 3-4 years. Thanks very much to Adam and his team! 😁

Adam and his crew his highly educated on all of there little furry friends I’ve bought many animals from them. I asked many questions and they knew the answer to all. I have a happy little lion mane bunny that I bought from him and she is happy and heathy.

I am absolutely mortified after going to this store this week. The animals are kept in HORRIFIC inhumane conditions and living in filth. I fail to understand how this business is supported by ANYONE and that people are not reporting it to the state department of consumer affairs because it is not legal to keep animals in such poor conditions. Please don’t be a bystander and report this place so these poor animals are not suffering and dying from negligence. I am attaching photos which show mice shoved into small dirty boxes on top of each other with low water supply. The aquariums look as if they have not been cleaned in 10 years. There was one with a literal swamp in it. There is mold everywhere and the store smells horrible. The owner should retire if he is too lazy to take care of the store or hire staff that does. He does not care about animals at all, nor his store and should face legal repercussions for animal abuse. The store looks like a hoarding situation. I have never seen anything like this in my whole life and it’s incomprehensible that in this day and age and in a nice town like Chester nothing has been done about this business. Please give these poor animals a voice they are suffering.

Decent selection of fish and aquarium supplies. Prices are absolutely horrible compared to what I remember. My fish live for years so I never have a need to replace fish. I recently moved and wanted to add a few fish. I spent over $100 on fish. The last time I stocked my tank was 2018. The price is more than doubled now. Not sure if prices are high here or everywhere for aquarium fish.

SICK RATS. I got 2 adorable baby rats from here recently. Already at the store I noticed they had red crust on the nose but at the store I did not think much of it as that can sometimes happen when they are stressed or because the cage needed to cleaned. However upon taking them home I noticed it was more severe & definitely from an upper respiratory infection and then noticed sores on both rats. They also appeared to have mites upon taking them home as well. I did call the store, the lady whom I spoke with would not take accountability for the rats being sick at the store. She was insisting I bring them in for her to check/“diagnose” even though she is not a vet. I am concerned as I have never in all my years as a rat mom seen sores on rats. Nor has my vet seen it. I’m concerned for my new pets health as well as my own since I’m not even sure what they have. My vet even had to consult with another exotic vet, as she was not sure what was causing the sores.

Very disorganized place with lots of animals in small cages.
I felt terrible visiting, rabbits were in a little place 4 of them.
The birds there were like 10 in a little cage.
Almost all fish tanks were dirty with green water or stuff floating in them.
All kinds of things on the floors and suspicious tank with green water in it right in the middle of the floor.
I'm my opinion de conditions were those animals are kept are not humane at all.

Love the employee, she is fabulous and definitely knows wat she is doing. She saved my turtle from dying and he's not aggressive anymore, cuz of her!! Thank you for caring about the PETS!! See you soon for more
