Dr. McCoy and the staff were amazing. My dog got bit at the dog park while passing through. I googled emergency vet and started calling around. They let me walk in and stapled up my doggo, gave me pain meds and antibiotics. Very reasonable pricing and wonderful care. Here's a pic of my dog wearing a t shirt to cover his side gash. 🥰

I will forever be grateful for this vet office. All the staff I have interacted with have been amazing. I brought my cat here from Baker in early November when none of the other vets would see him. They fought with me for my cat when nobody else would. He’s still not 100% but they put him on the train of getting better. He now plays and is almost back to himself. The reception lady Jackie is always awesome and kind when we go in. I recommend them to everyone.

Amazing staff and doctors. I am from AZ and come to visit family ever so often throughout the year. Whenever we go to visit, we bring our animals here to be seen. Never had any issues with them, in fact the staff and vet always try to accommodate us whenever we come. They are very knowledgeable and aware of how trying the economy is, that they work with their customers. They are like family. I don’t trust many other veterans with my animals, but I do here as they are knowledgeable and caring toward animals. La Grande you are blessed to have them there.

I can't thank Dr. McCoy enough for the services he provided for my newest kitten that was a feral. After losing my beloved cat a week prior to saving this kitten, I had already spent an extremely large amount of money on the cost of euthanizing my cat. Once I had found my new kitten a few days after putting my cat to rest, I had to take him to the vet for a checkup at a different location. Just 3 days after that check-up, my kitten had gotten an injury of a slipped disc which landed us back to the prior vet and not much was done. The new kitten developed an upper respiratory infection and the previous vet wouldn't give him antibiotics. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. McCoy and he made sure to help me in getting my kitten back to health with no questions and did me a favor that I wasn't expecting. I can't thank Dr. McCoy enough for going out of his way to make sure we got the help we needed. My kitten and myself are extremely thankful for him and will continue using him as our vet from here on out!

There’s poor communication through the staff as well as to the customers, I paid $108.31 for both of my dogs to get an exam and for one to get her shots, the other dog got antibiotics and scheduled for a spay, (cost $308.99 ) the one who got her shots is only 6 pounds so we decided to split the shots and come back at the end of the month to get her boosters, I called twice to confirm the appointment and what the appointment was for as well as when I got there and when I spoke to the vet and the vet tech, I mentioned it easily 7 times that she had her rabies (as she was wearing her tag) and that she was there for her boosters, not only did they double vaccinate her for rabies (they didn’t charge me for the second rabies) but then charged me $98.24 for that visit, and they forgot to give her the bordetella shot in the room so she brought it out to the register as I was paying, to give it to my dog. She hadn’t given it to my dog yet but I was actively paying for it. The vet tech also couldn’t confirm wether or not my dog had had her bordetella since the first appointment or not so the receptionist did for her, (thank you Jackie) I spent $515.54 there in the month of December and I’m not fully sure why the boosters were almost as much as the initial shots as well as antibiotics for my other dog or which shots my dog actually got.

These people do not care for animals or the owners that are trying to keep them alive. I have been going to grand Ronde animal hospital where they actually care about people and pets, best place around highly recommend it. As for this animal health center they do not as I already stated. I have a complicated case with my dog who is currently having kidney problems since October it is currently December 7. I have spent thousands of dollars trying to keep my dog alive he has been doing well until this morning I realized he needed veterinary assistants immediately grand Ronde, animal Hospital closed at 10 AM this morning and my only option would be emergency veterinary assistants which of course is quite pricey so I decided to speed and try to make it to animal healthcare center before they closed at 12:00 I was very close it was 11:58 I called them, and explained I am on my way and I am very close and I needed my dog to be seen and explained very quickly, the complicated case that I have been dealing with by the time I was done explaining everything they put me on hold to speak with a veterinarian when they came back on the line at 12 o’clock they explained to me that they would charge me additional emergency fees, even though they still had multiple other patients. I explained that I was less than a minute away at this time and asked if there was anything they could possibly do. because I was only going to be 2 minutes late then they very rudely explain to me that this is their policy and that’s the way it’s going to be this is so wrong I can’t put it into words a place that cares about animals would’ve understood that I’m an average person just trying to keep my animal alive two minutes should not matter to people if they actually care about the health of animals. I’ve had multiple dogs multiple emergency situation’s never have I been spoken to like this and I have never seen a more complete disregard for animal or human health. These are the people that are supposed to understand that These are our best friends They are the ones that are supposed to take care of them and us This was so disheartening and terrible do not go here!!!!!

Wonderful veterinarians. I had to have my dog put to sleep in October of 2022. The doctor who saw him took such good care of him. And not only him but me as well. I was walked through everything, I was respected and I was listened to. They were very gentle and kind to my dog. The experience was definitely very professional. I would recommend this vet to anyone and everyone! Love them!❤️

We are so lucky to have Animal Health Center and their staff in our atea. Several times I have needed emergency attention for our animals. They are caring, reassuring and qualified to take care of the situation. They will take the time necessary to answer our questions and concerns.
