New and improved interior is super clean and spacious. I love how airy and plenty of sunlight coming in the waiting area. Not cramped and depressing like most vet clinics I've been to. Plenty of room means less crowded when waiting for service.
Examination room also clean and well equipped. My doctor is highly attentive and responsive to calls and e-mails. Also, she is great on following up on the progress of treatment and recommendations. I'm satisfied with the service. I highly recommend Astoria Veterinary Group to any pets owner.

I have been a client of AVG since I moved to Queens in 1994. In all that time, I have never wanted to change vets, as the level of care and concern shown by both the doctors and the staff of AVG has always been first class.

I have seen a few generations of AVG vets retire and/or relocate. Life goes on. But, there has always been continuity. Every vet knew my pets. Every vet showed my pets respect and partnered with me in the caring of my pets. I am a cat owner and over the years, AVG has cared for 12 of my cats.

Dr. Song is my vet these days. I remember Dr. Song when she was in vet school and was starting her career at AVG. We are now caring for Pattie Cat, a 15 year old senior who is starting to experience those inevitable end of life issues. Dr. Song is patient with me and my many questions. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with senior kitties and looks for a reasonable plan of care to insure their health and comfort.

Over the years, Sorel, one of the long time business managers, has helped make the running of the office more efficient. Scheduled appointment times are kept, invoicing is accurate, things move along nicely. A very much top notch front of the house, as well.

Amazing group of Vets and techs. They were very welcoming to my shy 80lb doberman and made her feel very much at ease after she contracted kennel cough and had to get checked out. They are quick, efficient, and very informative, which helped greatly in reducing my worries about my sick pup. Recommend to anyone that cares about getting the best care for their pets!

We went in because our cat had eye discharge on her right eye the dr there ran a couple of test didn’t really know the cause of her eye discharge was. she have us eye drops and couple of days later now her left eye is having the same issue. Now we have to spend more money going to another vet because they clearly don’t know what they are doing anymore. We’ve been costumers for years when Dr. smith was there but now I guess we are going elsewhere.

Astoria Veterinary Group was able to get me in quickly, which I really appreciated. Scheduling was super flexible, and Dr. Yau took the time to really try to understand what was going on with my dog Mango—something that can be hard to find. She was thoughtful and thorough, which made a huge difference. I also really appreciate that they’re willing to call and talk through concerns when needed, rather than leaving you in the dark.

One of the vet assistants even took the time to brainstorm ways to help my dog drink more water, gave me a syringe to try, and it ended up being a total game changer—he’s finally drinking by hand! That kind of problem-solving really stood out.

And a special thank you to the office manager—who was incredibly kind and supportive, which I truly appreciate.

Thank you for saving my Coco ❤️ I initially had scheduled an appointment for Sunday, but when things turned really bad Saturday morning, I brought her in for an emergency visit right away. The doctor was quick to react to give her fluids and shots of antibiotics. As Coco was hanging on by a thread, the doctor and nurses were very attentive and did their best to comfort her. They answered all my questions and explained the procedure in detail. After her x-rays were taken, it turned out Coco has bronchitis and pneumonia and she might have not made it if we waited until Sunday. I will always be thankful for the doctor’s quick reaction.
