Only posting five stars for the wonderful vet assistant, Tom. I went last night at 4AM because my cat, Ziggy, had peed all over my floor (never done that before) and had blood in his mouth and looking lethargic. My roommate suspected he has had a seizure and bit his tongue which is the reason for the blood and went with me to the hospital. Tom answered the phone when I said I was coming and then gave me the best possible experience I could ask for. He was warm, comforting and most importantly, kind. The vet told me things I already kinda knew which was he suspected he had a seizure but no way of knowing for sure. I decided to watch him myself overnight and take him to the vet in the morning since he was acting back to his normal self. Also because I was quoted $4,000 by the vet to stay and run tests. Tom that worked at 5am last night was outstanding and deserves a raise. If he already got a raise recently then he deserves 10 more raises. Tom - Thank you so much for your patience and time. You are amazing and clearly love the work that you do.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible team at Atlantic Coast. When my dog was diagnosed with epilepsy, it was already a challenging journey, but recently, he experienced breakthrough cluster seizures that required an overnight stay in the ER. I was devastated.

From the moment we arrived, the care and compassion shown by everyone at Atlantic Coast were beyond anything I have ever experienced. In particular, Kristi and Dr. Lopez went above and beyond to ensure my dog received the best possible treatment. Their expertise, kindness, and genuine concern made an incredibly difficult situation more bearable. I have never trusted anyone more with my dog’s care.

What stood out the most was how comfortable my dog was in their care. Despite the stress, I could tell he felt safe when I picked him up. The level of professionalism, dedication, and empathy at this facility is truly unmatched. Having been to multiple veterinary hospitals before, I can confidently say that Atlantic Coast stands far above the rest.

I am grateful for this team—without them, I don’t know where we would be. If you are looking for compassionate, top-tier veterinary services care, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They are simply the best.

On Saturday December 21st, we brought my dog to Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary in Farmingdale, NY around 9:30am. After Bailey was the vet working named Dr Pablo Camacho came into the waiting room and said he believed that Bailey had a bulging disc in her hips and he believed that was why she could not walk and needed to do X-rays, blood work, and run some tests what was wrong.

We waited in the waiting room for about two hours for the test to be completed never leaving the office. We were finally called into exam room 4 by Dr. Pablo Camacho around 11:30/11:40am. Dr Pablo Camacho came into the room ALONE, he was not accompanied by any other staff and he never brought Bailey back into the room with him. He said that the results showed that Bailey would need surgery to help her walk again but the she would have to be transferred to a specialist and that this surgery would cost us about $20,000. He told us that her liver appeared to be enlarged in the X-ray and would also need to see a specialist.

He said even if we did go through with the surgery there was not much of a guarantee that Bailey would be able to walk again, he believed that given her age that was not the best decision and said we should consider putting her down. He told us he would give us time to think about our options and left the room. Dr. Pablo Camacho NEVER returned. At no point in time were we under any knowledge that Bailey was not ALIVE. We brought our dog into the vet ALIVE.

As you can imagine we were all extremely devastated. Our family had just lost our beloved French mastiff Kobe two weeks earlier to cancer and this news was extremely hard to hear. we would never want Bailey to suffer and could never imagine putting her through that pain this was extremely difficult. We ALL waited for doctor to come back to discuss the process with us and we were waiting for Bailey to be brought back into the room ALIVE, knowing that we would have to say goodbye I would later come to find out that we would never get this opportunity.

We were waiting about 20/25 minutes in exam room 4 after being read the test results, speaking to the receptionist on the matter, and waiting for Dr. Pablo Camacho to return with Bailey and to discuss the process, we started to become concerned on why we were waiting this long for the Vet to return and where Bailey was. My brother went to the receptionist and asked when we would see Bailey because we were still waiting, she then told him that we call had to go into Exam room 1. As a family, we entered the exam room waiting and the receptionist finally came in holding Bailey in a blanket different from the one I brought her to the vet in and handed Bailey to me in my arms. As soon as this receptionist walked through the door my heart fell to my stomach and I knew Bailey was not okay, I quickly asked if she was sedated because her eyes were just open and she was still. The receptionist said to us, “No we euthanized her” and handed me my dog, dead.

The receptionist quickly ran out of the room and Dr. Pablo Camacho appeared a few minutes later. He was cold to us and unapologetic for his actions. He could not give us any reason as to why he had taken the steps to euthanize Bailey without speaking to us again. He blamed his front desk staff saying it was their fault for not letting us know that they were going to euthanize her. He NEVER apologized for his actions and was not at all sympathetic or compassionate towards us. We were all extremely shocked, devastated, extremely confused, and as you can imagine there was definitely anger as we were just handed our dog dead. I will admit I was at a loss of words and I was hysterical, all I could do at that point was sit in that exam room holding Bailey in my arms. I sat in that exam room with Bailey in my arms and cried for almost over an hour while the rest of my family tried their hardest to get answers and any kind of remorse from Dr. Pablo Camacho and the rest of the staff.

The actions taken by ALL of the staff andDr. Pablo Camacho are UNACCEPTABLE.

This is the second time I've been to this hospital with my pups and I couldn't be more grateful!!! The first time my puppy (after having her only 2 days) started seizing. I brought her right in and they took her immediately! They kept me up to date the entire time and were super considerate and personable. She came back to me good as new and (knock on wood) seizure free!!! This time, my other pup slid out of his cast (put on by another vet) and we rushed in overnight and they took excellent care of him. Got him all bandaged backup good as new! Thank you again guys!!!

we are so heartbroken about our dog Louie, a 2.5yr old French bulldog who died on 12/25/24. He was brought to Atlantic coast at 4:30am on 12/24/24 in excruciating back pain and was kept at this facility for 3hrs running x-rays. The doctor never came out to talk to us when we picked him up and our release papers said to go home and put him on cage rest for 4 weeks. A 2.5yr French bulldog. We took him to our vet immediately upon picking him up and were advised he needed an immediate MRI and back surgery for a spine disease that can occur with French bulldogs. We were referred to a facility that could preform the MRI. By the time we got our dog to the proper facility to get him the care he needed the MRI Machine malfunctioned and he had to wait a day for surgery and he passed away waiting. I called the facility now three times asking to speak to the doctor who treated our puppy and he has not returned any of my calls. I even stopped down to the facility to speak in person and could not find him. I was charged $1400 for emergency service and all they did was run x-rays and keep my dog in the back room for 3 hrs. They sent me home with 3 bottles of pills that were impossible for him to take. MY DOG NEEDED SURGERY AND AN MRI which was told to me upon immediate entry to my normal vet. This place is negligent in the death of my dog because they did not advise me of the next steps properly. The facility is run by kids and to find a supervisor or person in charge is impossible. Two facilities called them to the results of the blood work they supposedly took and they never sent it over. My Louie had to do the blood work again. i disputed my credit card and lost because they say I received service. SO IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT It was not the proper service. Watch out for this seems you have no recourse. The fact that the doctor never met with us to discuss his findings and recommendations. Just left us a piece of paper saying cage rest should tell you this was not right. Then another kid makes my dog walk out of the back by holding up his rear legs with a harness. Forcing him to walk on his front legs. French bulldogs are front heavy and he was in extreme pain and unable to walk. We carried him in and out but yet they forced him to walk on his front legs. It broke our heart when he came out. We asked is he walking? and the kid says no, we scooped him right up into our arms. THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE AND NOBODY SHOULD BRING THEIR PETS HERE. They are cold hearted at the counter. Trained to just stare at you.
