Great expertise Bond Vet GC! My dog was wincing in pain and I didn’t know what was wrong. I googled them and when you click book now there was an appointment same day! I uploaded all my info beforehand and they took me in right away. Everyone was so nice and thorough. My dog is usually scared and not that nice with new people and he was great! I was so surprised! I would definitely recommend them and will be switching over to them as my primary Vet!

I’m livid with the experience I had today. I brought my dog in for a walk-in, as she was having a persistent, wet, crackling cough this morning. I have been going to the Roslyn location for a year (they were closed today), but her history is on file for all Bond locations and they can see she has a collapsed trachea. They took her back immediately to stabilize her, which at first I appreciated the urgency, but they didn’t bother to tell me that they couldn’t do X-rays because they were short-staffed. They didn’t tell me I’d have to take her to the emergency vet until AFTER administering medication and oxygen. So I had to pay the walk-in fee, sedative fee, oxygen fee and now the incurring fees at the emergency vet.

They knew with her condition she would need the diagnostics, so why would they take her if they could not provide that? I did not go there for relief purposes, I needed answers to see if she needed further treatment. When I expressed that I was upset with how they went about this (i don’t recall the doctor’s name, something with a C, not Dr. Chandler) she had no response besides just looking at me as if I was overreacting. Mind you, I’m an extremely non-confrontational person. I just firmly said “why would you take us if you knew you could not help?” She may as well have just said “oh well too bad you can go pay now and go.”

It’s unfortunate because I’ve had good experiences with Dr. Crystal in Roslyn and Dr. Chandler at this location. On the other hand, I had an extremely bad experience with a negligent doctor I’d never seen in Roslyn in July (my dog literally could have died had I not taken her to the ER the following day after that doctor saying she was fine); and today I experienced another doctor I’d never seen and it felt like I was dealing with shady salesperson who already got their money so they didn’t care.

I’m extremely disappointed I had to write this essay of a review, but people should be cautious if they choose to utilize Bond.

My girl friend is currently at the Garden City location with our 10 year old dog. We brought her in as a walk in and explained she has a very bad cough, rattling in her chest and believe she may need a chest X-ray (bond knows our dogs history with pneumonia, and collapsed trachea). They proceeded to give her a sedative and oxygen. 250+ visit. I was then told they are too short staffed to give her an X-Ray, complete the diagnostic part of the exam and that we would need to find an emergency room. They did not suddenly become short staffed. They knew they couldn't treat her fully but decided to find something to charge us for while we are there. I'm disgusted with bond. It has started to feel less like medical care for my pet and more like dealing with used car salesmen tactics. Last time I had a visit, with my other puppy I purposely didn't ask about the "medical waste disposal fee" on the invoice just to see if the staff would do the right thing and explain it or try to sweep it under the rug. They explained every other charge except the tiny charge thinking I wouldn't notice. That was the beginning of me having my radar up with these people. I am livid. I will never use Bond for anything ever again.

Bond Vet is a step up when it comes to general practices and urgent care. From the moment you walk in, you can tell you are going to have an elevated experience in comparison to other vets in the area.

What I appreciate about Bond is that similar to City MD, you can receive urgent care, but they are up front and transparent with you about seeking emergency care if it goes beyond their scope.

If your pet has an acute problem, needs vaccinations, wellness services, needs a diagnosis, or even help managing an ongoing medical condition, this would be my number 1 choice. Friendly, clean, welcoming, and transparent are the words that come to mind.

They aren't an emergency room, and they don't pretend to be.

I am so grateful I took my beloved sick cat to Bond Vet Garden City. When I walked in,
Michelle, the receptionist, was so kind and helpful, and made me feel like everything was going to be okay. She navigated me through the entire process with such care. Dr. Chandler is a lovely person and incredibly competent, smart, caring veterinarian. Amanda and Scott the vet tech/nurse were so skillful and compassionate. Every test they performed on my cat was done in the most skillful, compassionate way. The facility is clean and beautiful but most impressive are the compassionate people like Michelle, Amanda, Dr Chandler and Scott who work there. Thank you with all my heart.

EDITED - now on my third visit and I cannot even say how much I love everyone here! Dr. Chandler is so extremely caring and wonderful. I've really never experienced a vet like this. The rest of the staff as well - the nurses, front desk, seriously everyone - I'm blown away - and I've been to many vets with my four cats!
Huge shout out to Michelle at the front desk who is completely awesome as well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Bond vet Garden City provides exceptional service. It is easy to get an appointment, we rarely have to wait once we check in and the staff is professional. I would recommend Bond Vet to anyone wanting very personal care for their pet.

The entire staff is wonderful. Dr. Michael Weisberg has been treating Shea for about a year now and we are huge fans. He is so caring, knowledgeable & makes Shea feel very comfortable. Dr. Weisberg is always very engaging and best of all he is very thorough. Thank you very much.

Note on the pic: this is Shea reading about his breed as well as others in the examination room 😊
