We are so pleased with our experience at Calm Canine Academy! We’ve completed Separation Skills with Karishma and are almost done with Feisty Fido training with Lauren, and we have had a wonderful experience each time. The trainers are attentive, knowledgeable, and highly skilled, offering a fabulous training experience all around. The "trainer in your pocket" format is incredibly helpful, this provides real-time support and personalized feedback between classes. We also really appreciate the interactive group class portion—it’s always helpful to learn alongside others and see everyone’s progress! Our dog is a rescue who has a lot of fear based behaviors due to a traumatic history - she has made SO much progress in the last 10 weeks through this class, and we are so excited to continue to see her progress through everything we’ve learned.

The hybrid format makes training realistic and flexible, even for those with demanding schedules - we were able to complete the training despite navigating busy schedules as I’m currently completing my PhD. Their skillful approach and well-designed content make training both effective and enjoyable. We can’t recommend Lauren and the team at CCA enough!

Would definitely recommend CCAs Separation Anxiety course. Lauren was so kind and presented the program in a way that was doable and showed results as long as you stuck to the course and were consistent throughout. Cody is much more comfortable with alone time and separation, which has given us so much more flexibility in our lives while making him a happier pup.

I can 100% recommend the CCA, I have almost completed the feisty Fido course. My dog is less “feisty” than frozen/shut down fearful and this course has helped with our bond and confidence . She ofcourse has a very long way to go, but they have given clear plans, steps and practical techniques that we can use to help our dogs even once the course is over. Our trainer Lauren is so knowledgeable and has so much experience with fearful and reactive dogs, in addition to being lovely and always prompt at answering any questions or in responding to messages we send. I had been thinking about CCA for a couple of years, but was hesitant trying an online Course as I always felt face to face would be more effective. However -having worked with SO MANY F2F trainers and behaviourists, I can say with confidence , it doesn’t make a difference, in fact I would say Lauren is more responsive than other professionals I have worked with, so you have more input, but importantly they have the specialist experience we needed which many face to face dog professional just don’t have. I wish I had done this years ago.

Melanie was absolutely wonderful in helping us work on separation anxiety and sound sensitivity with our puppy, Hudson. She helped us get to the bottom of his GI issues, advocated for us at the vet, and was always willing to listen and give advice on situations during our sessions and via text. We would absolutely recommend her and CCA as a whole to anyone working through difficult behaviors with their dog.

I highly recommend Calm Canine Academy. I just finished Feisty Fido with Lauren and it was so helpful. I appreciate the live group classes to share our realities with other dog parents. The material is clear and the follow up for the exercices and questions is really complete. I learn a lot, the tools will help me and my dog for long term. I’m going to miss these classes! I had a great experience with CCA. From teaching some of the most basic things I hadn't realized (one example: I'd sent a video of me playing with my dog and found out that most dogs don't like bare floorboards, so I got a couple of rugs and now our dog runs to them and prefers to play on them), to specific questions and strategies about how to handle a reactive dog in a busy city environment. Absolutely worth your money and time.

I can’t recommend CCA and our trainer Lauren enough - their group classes allowed us to get expertise and guidance from highly experienced professionals at a more reasonable cost than private training, still with plenty of personal focus. We’ve seen great progress in our dog on both her separation anxiety and reactivity since taking two classes with CCA.

We took the separation anxiety course. Trainers here are top notch and behavioral experts. We didn’t have much expectation of online course, however tools that trainers equipped us with are so useful! Our dog who couldn’t stay alone for even 20 minutes, now sleeps for an hour. We still have a long way to go but if we continue to follow the given roadmap, I am sure, we will reach the desired alone time soon.
