Highly recommend. These ladies went above and beyond for me when my husband and I had to bring my little dog to cross the rainbow bridge. As I was a complete mess in the car waiting to be called to come in after they place his IV I could see the one tech carrying my baby around wrapped in a blanket comforting him. It makes me happy to know he was not in a room alone waiting for me scared. They were all kind and gentle from start to finish and I can not thank them enough. At the worse time they made it just a little better by going the extra mile.

Highly would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Had a scare with our one ferret that we had just adopted a few days prior, in the evening after our primary veterinarian was closed he began vomiting several times along with other symptoms of concern. I spent an hour + attempting to find a clinic that would be willing to see him as he is an "exotic" when finally CPVet came to the rescue. We drove about 2 hours, and would happily do it again to receive the care we did.

The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The veterinarian that saw to our ferret was very thorough & communicated with us consistently about results and figuring out a plan to execute for our little friend. Prices were beyond reasonable, especially for an emergency visit.

I couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you🐾🩷

Though we hope not to need to return, we would do so confidently if any of our animals were having an emergency.

We lost our floofnoodle Lil' Miss the other night. The staff here were amazing and did everything they could, answered all our questions, and were so, so patient with us and compassionate as we bawled through the hardest decision we've ever had to make. We're really grateful for everyone that was there overnight Wednesday.

Also after reading the other reviews, some things to clarify..
1. Yes you wait in the car unless the worst should happen and they were so promptly communicative the entire time. This is all over their website. Its not that big of a place and to have a bunch of randos pacing around would stress out the sick animals!!!
2. Its an emergency vet. You're supposed to follow up with your primary vet. Do you expect human ER docs to call you in 3 days? No.
3. We were fully informed of all options before anything other than emergency stabilization was rendered. We were given the time and info we needed to make fully informed decisions, they answered every round of questions we had, and never rushed us.

Its not this establishment's problem if people dont understand what their services are, even though they were incredibly clear from the first phone call. Again, everything is all over their website. And you're welcome to try and find somewhere else to go at 2 am.

This is in regards to Goldie❤️

We recently were experiencing problems with our chihuahua and the only place we could get through to was CP vets. Unfortunately we had to make a very tough decision of putting her to sleep…the entire time the staff was very professional , comforting , super informative and patient. They are amazing people who truly take pride in their job! They give so much support they feel like a family member. They are reasonably priced , I was mind blown! I will forever chose CP vets with my animals. I am highly recommending this place as a go to you will not be disappointed! They even gave clay prints for our little baby Goldie and I had just received a card in the mail from them with their condolences. Every one of the doctors and staff is an absolute god send for being as strong as they are and being as good as they are at what they do. Thank you for everything , hopefully when I see y’all again it will be on a little better circumstances❤️ Bless all of you

I would give them 0 stars if I could please don't waste your time here. Took my dog in for emergency they make you stand outside do paperwork then they come out to your car and get your pet. I waited outside for 6 hours in my car while my dog was inside in a cage. There is no compassion or anything from the people inside I had to call every half hour for an update. I understand emergencies happen to other animals . One Dr. on call that is crazy. This is no way to run a vet clinic .

Took cat there march of 2020 when pandemic started and next day they started making people sit outside while pet went inside. Tough times I understand. By the way spent 3000 just to put cat asleep next day. But anyway. It's February of 2025. almost 5 years later. And they are still making people sit outside in their cars. For hours upon hours. My mom is in her seventies and sitting outside in her truck 10 0 clock on a Saturday night in the middle of February . Come on man . You gotta be better than that

CP Vets and Dr Loar saved my dog’s life this past weekend and I am forever grateful. Everyone we have dealt with at this office has been caring, professional, and dedicated to provided the best possible care to pets in Centre County. I was able to visit my dog, got updates twice a day, and when he wouldn’t eat after his surgery, they even ordered Sheetz delivery for him to tempt him! They made me feel like they loved him a little bit like I do. Again, ever so grateful.

On Sunday morning, we awoke to find our 13- year old cat Deanna gasping for air. I called our normal vets office and was referred to CPVets. After a quick phone call, I made the hour drive to State College and was immediately met by a staff member. She took Deanna inside for an evaluation, and the doctor soon called me to discuss the tests that she wanted to run. She was very transparent about everything — her rationale for ordering the various tests, the pricing, the time involved, etc. — and she kept me informed about Deanna’s condition throughout the afternoon. Although the diagnosis was devastating, she was so kind and patient with me as we discussed my options.

Deanna was deteriorating and clearly suffering, so I made the agonizing decision to have her euthanized. A staff member walked me inside the building and guided me to a private room. A nurse soon brought Deanna to me so that we could spend some quiet time together before the end. I cannot stress enough how patient and supportive the staff were with me as I struggled with the situation. They did everything possible to make the both of us comfortable. When the time came, the doctor and the nurse treated Deanna with such gentle care and with complete grace and dignity. They soothed her the entire time and did everything they could to ease her transition.

I hope to never again need for emergency care for any my babies, but I have no hesitation in bringing them to CPVets should the need arise. I deeply appreciate everything that they did to help us.
