I am so grateful to have found this place. I had an end of life plan with another vet office and when there was an emergency situation on a Sunday (figures!) they were closed but on their voicemail they referred to this emergency vet office. It worked out perfectly that I would take my two elderly chihuahuas to be euthanized here with Dr. Sara Bresse. She was the perfect person. So kind, patient and understanding. They passed on comfortably and with ease. I felt like it couldn’t have gone better. And it turned out to cost less than the original vet had quoted me. I wasn’t expecting that. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Update—I am preserving my pup’s skulls and they made the process more comfortable and seamless. Violet went over the top with being helpful in figuring out packaging and shipping materials for me. She was super attentive and kind with me navigating this difficult situation.

I’ve been to case numerous times throughout the past year in the neurology department specifically with my sick pup and I really appreciate all the time they’ve spent and help they’ve given to us. They are very kind and give you options and support whenever you need it. Yes it’s very expensive but it’s worth it, it’s a speciality vet and you are paying for life saving stuff. Very knowledgeable team and everyone is so kind. They’ve given my dog extra time and comfort this past year which is irreplaceable.

CASE is an amazing facility staffed by a stellar array of doctors, veterinary technicians, administrative personnel and other animal loving humans. They are caring, kind, compassionate, and extraordinarily competent. They do an excellent job at keeping the human family informed with multiple daily conversations. The visiting hours are generous and staff are respectful of the human-pet visitation time.

My only wish is that they would provide medical treatment to me and my human children because their care is superior to any I have received anywhere.

We are lucky to have CASE here in Boulder.

I was here on March 3, 2025 with my dog Callie. She had a traumatic experience getting there, and I felt she was treated very irresponsibly by the oncologists she had been seeing at CSU. Unfortunately she ended up passing at CASE. However, I couldn’t have asked for a better ER team to care for her. They were knowledgeable, efficient, patient, explained things clearly, and treated Callie with dignity and respect. I felt that they truly cared about her wellbeing. Thank you so much to Dr. Roberts, as well as the nurse/tech and the front desk staff that was present (I wish I knew their names). I’m distraught over Callie’s passing, but grateful to have been able to say goodbye and have had such a great team caring for her. Thank you so much 🙏🏼❤️

CASE has the nicest, most caring employees. From the receptionist to the veterinarian, I always feel welcomed.

My little Maggie has cancer and CASE takes such good care of her, as if she was their own. They are doing everything that can be done to make sure she is staying on course and feeling as good as possible.

I just wanted to thank the team at CASE for the love and care they gave my family's baby boy, Gatsby. We drove up to Boulder from Grand Junction last week when our local vet office had reached the extent of their abilities. Unfortunately, it turned out that Gatsby had cancer (most likely Hemangiosarcoma or another blood cancer that took him swiftly without warning and without any symptoms until it was too late). When it was determined he wouldn't make it, the CASE team (specifically Dr. Johnson) was very kind, and knowledgeable and didn't push us toward anything expensive or drastic (that, ultimately would have done nothing). They provided us with a quiet and well-stocked room of treats to say our loving goodbyes and regularly checked on us during the process. It felt comforting to know we did everything we could and they made Gatsby (and my family) feel cared for in the end. Gatsby was incredibly sick when we got to CASE, so I am including a picture of how beautiful he was during life. 🤍🤍🤍

Wonderful place!!! We took our sweet 10-year old dog to CASE when a lipoma on her body developed an abscess and started to leak. It was a Sunday and we were very frightened for our girl! As soon as we entered the facility I knew we were in the right place. Everyone was very calm and positive, which helped our nerves a lot. They took Belle back immediately when we arrived and got to work on figuring out what was wrong. They stabilized our girl (who was running a fever and needed fluids and vitamins) and kept her overnight so the surgeon could come up with a plan on Monday. We got a call the next morning from Dr. Stephens who gave us great advice about steps forward. He even gave his personal opinion (“if this was my dog and I had the means I would do this”), which we really appreciated. Belle went through surgery and did great! When we had questions about recovery CASE was always very helpful over the phone, making sure to give us the advice we needed and were always open to us bringing her if we felt necessary.

Other great things about CASE. They have visiting hours when your pet is staying overnight. I believe it was from 10-3 and 7-9pm, fantastic for anxious pet parents like us. Every time we made a medical decision, we were presented with an estimate, to help us decide. After her surgery we found out that the estimates were too high, so we were refunded some of our deposit (when does that ever happened?!?). The staff is so nice and keeps a calm demeanor, we felt so confident after speaking with each doctor or tech. Now, we just need CASE to start seeing humans so we can finally have a good healthcare experience like Belle did! Thank you so much to the team there, we hope we never have to come back, but at least we know we’re in good hands if we have to.

CASE has been absolutely amazing with the care for our big fella who has osteosarcoma and requires monthly chemotherapy. From the initial meeting, diagnosis and emergency leg amputation in August to December and almost finished with the 6rounds of chemo, every care provider we e interacted with has just been so kind, patient and warm.
I can’t recommend this facility and staff enough. Oh and they take Nationwide Pet Health insurance, so that’s been awesome too!
