It’s so refreshing to know that there is an emergency vet out there that doesn’t shove a payment pad in your face the second you walk in the door before they will even acknowledge your pet. CVSG is kind, friendly, the nurses and vets took the time to listen to what my pup was experiencing to obtain the right diagnosis. No ego, no “I’ve seen it all” attitude, no fervor to financially bleed me dry. And their facilities are too notch. Yes emergency vet’s are costly, but given the circumstances they have been quite reasonable. ❤️

When bringing my dog in I was uncertain of her future. It was really scary and CVSG told me the outcome wasn't going to be great. We opted to treat Remmi anyway and through it all she had the best possible outcome and defied a lot of odds. Every vet and tech I encountered was really friendly and super educated on Remmi and her condition. CVSG was very accommodating in the 5 days she was there and let me visit her daily. They called with updates twice/day. Remmi is now back home and happier than ever. It was amazing what her and the vet accomplished together. Thank you

We are so grateful to Dr. Wendland and Dr. Gibson for providing our dog an excellent PT consult with weight loss support! They provided a thorough exam and evaluation and each team member provided a safe and loving space for our dog to be evaluated. Dr. Wendland provided a detailed plan around the changes I can make to support our dog’s healthy weight and we are so thankful for their expert knowledge and feedback!

I have come here several times before and have been very happy with their services but this last time I was extremely frustrated. My 16 year old small dog was seen by Dr. Fernhoff for diarrhea. She was given some fluids and a Cerenia injection. Her bloodwork showed she could have a possible infection with elevated plateletcrit. I told her I felt like something was brewing and was wondering about antibiotics, but she didn't want to give her any. Sure enough she got worse with water coming out. I had to bring her to my regular vet who actually checked her stool and saw no white blood cells to counteract the bacteria because of her advanced age. She was given antibiotics and immediately started feeling better. CVSG only wanted me to come back for an ultrasound $$$ to squeeze more money out of us. I honestly don't know if I would use there services again. Her bloodwork and symptoms really didn't warrant that......

My pup was kept overnight, he was peeing blood from his butt., released the next morning with the doctor stating, he was eating ( with a ferocious appetite) and had great energy. I brought him home and he slept barely ate and had continued to have bloody diarrhea. I brought him back to the clinic the next morning. I was told by the tech that the doctor had one dog that needed evaluation and then they would be in. We have been in the room for an hour and 15 minutes without one word or check in. My dog can't even hold his head up at this point, he has lost at least another half cup of blood, his paws and. nose are ice cold. They walk in and say, sorry we had some critical dogs come in that took presidents over Finn. No examination done yet and they decided my dog takes a back seat to the rest. I am beyond frustrated. The fact that they didn't prioritize my dog when they had already said there was only one dog ahead of mine. I watched the 3 dogs come in after me. They weren't carried in they weren't visibly wounded and they walked in on their own but I'm told they are more critical then mine. I've already paid 1780 for care and my dog is still sick and I'm not given priority.

My poor little guy got a horrible bite on his eye and we had to come in to CVSG. When I first called, the receptionist was great with me - giving me wait time updates, asking what was going on and being so compassionate over the phone. Once we got to the clinic, it was clean and laid out beautifully for all the different animals to be comfortable. The receptionist asked a few more questions, got us checked in really fast and took us to a private room to wait. I so appreciated the heads up for wait time as this is an emergency clinic but we didn’t have to wait too long at all. The doctor was so fantastic and asked all the questions, gave advice, talked pricing on the meds we would need to make sure we were comfortable with the price, and most of all she was so gentle and loving with our poor little guy who felt awful and was in pain. She explained everything to me, took the time to listen to my concerns, didn’t rush us at all but at the same time she was fast and efficient in her care. At the end, a technician came in to go over everything from our visit, explained further care for home, and gave me room to ask questions if I needed to. Top notch at every step, thank you all so much!

Listen, it’s never easy to swallow the cost of an ER vet visit. I’ve now used this group twice for my cats. Their prices are below the typical ER costs (including VEG), I’ve always been seen almost immediately and their medical staff is top notch.

"I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at CVSG. After years of loyal patronage and numerous emergency visits with my dogs, I can no longer recommend this clinic. The exorbitant price increase, seemingly driven by the opening of their new facility, is utterly unacceptable. It appears that profit has taken priority over the well-being of animals and the support of long-time customers. This review is particularly aimed for breeders, who should be aware of my experience.
On March 24, 2025, I contacted CVSG's emergency line seeking assistance from their reproductive unit. In the past, they offered 24-hour reproductive services. However, I was informed that no one was available, and I would have to go through the emergency room. My dog was in stage 1 labor, which had been prolonged for 12 hours, and I was concerned due to her previous quick deliveries.
Upon arrival, the ER staff focused on monitoring fetal heartbeats. They claimed that 1-3 puppies had potentially low heart rates and insisted on a C-section, demanding a $5,000 deposit, with the final cost potentially exceeding that. During this time, my dog's first puppy partially emerged and then retreated. The ER staff offered no immediate assistance, such as an IV or assistance with the birth canal. They seemed completely unresponsive to the situation.
Fortunately, I was able to contact my regular veterinarian early in the morning. We rushed to their clinic, and while en route, my dog delivered her first puppy. My veterinarian performed an ultrasound, determined that a C-section was unnecessary, and administered an IV and oxytocin. Over the next six hours, my dog delivered four more healthy puppies. While the labor was prolonged, my vet was not concerned, explaining that some deliveries naturally take longer.
It is deeply concerning that CVSG's reproductive unit lacks qualified and knowledgeable staff. I was even told that once the unit opened at 8 am, they would be unable to assist me as they only perform scheduled C-sections. This lack of support during a critical emergency is appalling.
CVSG has lost a loyal customer. Their focus on profit over patient care and the lack of competent reproductive services is unacceptable. I strongly advise breeders to seek veterinary care elsewhere."
