I recently brought my two senior cats to Double Oak Veterinary before an upcoming move, and I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! One of my cats has severe anxiety, and I was genuinely worried about how she would handle leaving the house, being examined, and receiving shots. To make matters worse, it had been a while since their last vet visit, and I was nervous about being judged for that.
The entire team was so understanding and compassionate from the start. They listened to all of my concerns and assured me that this visit would be a fresh start for ongoing care, not a reason to feel guilty. They worked patiently with my anxious cat, taking the process at her pace and never pushing her beyond what she could handle.
Dr. Wood and the staff were thorough, kind, and encouraging throughout the visit. They checked both of my cats from head to toe and provided helpful education in such a positive, non-judgmental way. Dr. Wood even shared stories about his own cats, which made the experience feel personal and comforting.
This clinic truly exceeded my expectations, and I’m so relieved to have found them. I’ll absolutely be bringing my cats back for their annual visits. Thank you, Double Oak Veterinary, for your kindness and care!

I cannot say enough about the staff at Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center. They are some of the most caring and loving people I have had the opportunity to meet. We have been coming here since we moved into the area and are so thankful we did. Unfortunately we had to put our oldest dog down about a month ago, and the staff took such great care of us and our sweet Mocha. It was one of the hardest times we have had as a family, but the whole staff made us feel cared for and about. They even shed tears with us on the day of. To top it off, we also received such a touching letter from them afterwards that made us feel seen and not alone.

They have earned our business for life!

I can not say enough wonderful things about my experience here. If I could give more stars 🌟 I would. I had my sweet Gracie for only a month when she got very ill. Another vet had missed the diagnosis just 3 days earlier so when I brought her to Double Oak she needed emergency surgery. From the moment we stepped foot into the building we were treated as if we were life long friends!! Dr Watson and her entire staff (Melissa was the awesome assistant) were so caring, gentle and compassionate with me and Gracie. They did numerous tests, bloodwork and an ultrasound right there in office and had a diagnosis very quickly. I am forever grateful for the EXCEPTIONAL love and care Gracie received before, during and after her surgery. I can’t imagine trusting our care to anyone else. I (and Gracie) are patients for life!! We had to take our 13-year-old dog in for a severe tummy flare-up, and when our regular vet didn’t have any openings, they referred us to Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center. Honestly, I was a bit nervous since we’ve always taken our dog to the same clinic, but I wanted to get her seen before the weekend, so we gave it a shot.

From the moment I called, I felt reassured. The two women who answered the phones and booked our appointment were so kind and accommodating, setting us up with a same-day appointment. Just an hour later, we were checking in, and the clinic itself was clean, spacious, and calming. It was clear they care about creating a positive environment for both pets and their owners.

Our vet tech, Sydney, was wonderful. She was gentle and patient with our dog, asking thoughtful questions to understand her history and our concerns. We then saw Dr. Wood, who had already reviewed our dog's records from her regular vet, which made the entire visit feel very personal. He was kind, thorough, and took the time to explain everything in detail. His approach was careful and conservative, which we really appreciated, and he gave us helpful advice for managing similar issues in the future.

Throughout the whole experience, we felt like a priority, despite knowing the clinic had other patients to care for. Dr. Wood was the only vet in the office that day, but he gave us plenty of time and attention. I was genuinely impressed by the level of care and professionalism from everyone at Double Oak.

If you're looking for a vet that treats pets with genuine care and takes time to listen to your concerns, I highly recommend Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center. Our dog was in good hands, and we left feeling confident in the care she received.

Dr. Watson was fantastic. I specifically needed her help with navigating an international move with my doggo and she was so helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all kind as she answered my questions. The vet techs were also lovely. Highly recommend Double Oak, especially if you’re traveling with a fur baby!

I go in to have all my dog and cat needs met. If there was a 10 star they would get 10 from me! I get my dog and cat nails trimmed by the groomer and the vet techs take care of my Chiweenies glands every month.
I love Dr Wood! I have been going to Double Oak Vet Medical Center for over 10 years. I have always had 10 star service! All The staff and vets are perfect every time we visit.

I’ve been coming to Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center since it was about the only game in town. As other practices have come along I have never even considered a change in health care for my pets. Dr. Wood’s down to earth demeanor and knowledgeable service have been a great blessing over the years. We also see Dr. Watson in the practice. She has provided excellent health care and has a great “bedside manner” for me as well as my pup! I’m always assured of smooth operations with Ryin and Deirdre at the helm in the front office, providing a sense of confidence at every visit that we are in good hands from start to finish!
