The staff and doctors at Frontier are so kind and compassionate. I never feel rushed. They take time to hear my concerns and genuinely care for our pets. I wouldn’t trust anyone else for veterinary care!! Thank you for all you do for my fur babies 🤩

My dog had an injury while using the bathroom outside. We took her to frontier where she saw Dr. Hill. We explained to her what happened and how we heard a snap when she injured her leg and the only thing she did was feel around her leg and told us she had arthritis. We believed her and gave her supplements to help with her arthritis. However as the days went by her leg started to worsen to the point where she was no longer using her left back leg at all. Today we took her to Abilene vet clinic, they took an x-ray of her injured leg and told us that she has BONE CANCER! If I had known earlier I would’ve spent more time with my baby and figured out way to help her. She’s been in pain for 3 months! And all this time we thought it was just arthritis. I do not recommend going to Dr.Hill.

I genuinely felt my Vader was in great hands as soon as I walked in the door! Ladies at front desk, Techs and Vets were amazing! Dr. Houser couldn’t have done more! I will be highly recommending Frontier!! Glad Vader could be associated with all of you there!!

One of our dogs tried to take a bite out of a porcupine last weekend and got a few quills in his mouth for his trouble. We went into the Vet yesterday and had them removed. I didn't even have to make an appointment, they just told me to bring him in and they would fit him in. That is one more reason why we like dogs to Frontier Animal Clinic.

Recently needed to take my fur baby in because I thought she had a UTI, which it turns out she did. I was recommended by friends to Frontier, and they got me in that very day a few hours later, as a matter of fact, very helpful, friendly people, and they were very good with my baby. Waiting room is a little small and not much parking, but like the quick, and professional service.

1. Thank you to Rachel for always being so nice and genuinely caring of my pets. You are a rockstar (5 star), & thank you to the receptionist that was there on Friday 2/28 - who immediately put me in a private room and provided tissues as I was visually upset. Unfortunately some of the vets who work at this facility do not demonstrate the same traits. In the short time I took my pet here I did have a good experience with Dr. Howk and Dr. Hand.
2. Reading the replies from this facility to owners who had a less adequate experience is disheartening. Instead you let your arrogance and ego get in the way of getting to the root of the problem. Thinking that your staff may never be in the wrong is irresponsible and rash to say the least. Instead it is very apparent you would rather lose business than take accountability to fix issues whether you are in the wrong or not. I have also had others tell me how their experience here was unsatisfactory but given your previous replies the only thing people are met with are unprofessional replies in a very passive aggressive manor. That alone makes me not want to come here again.
3. I came to frontier through the express clinic end of 2023. I could not get in as quickly at my primary vet and was able to get in quickly here through the walk in clinic which issues lead to my pet requiring surgery. Recently my pet started demonstrating the same symptoms as before so I brought him back here (treadaway) given the hx from the previous issues, my mistake. My dog was given antibiotics on a Friday. I brought him back for further testing on Monday. My dog needed more diagnostic testing after Monday. I came back on Friday, blood was taken as well as an ultrasound. When I received the call from this vet I was told my dog has probable terminal cancer due to "tumor" location. She said it is most likely cancer given the location and asked if I still wanted to pay $500 to send out although she didn't think it was necessary. I understand everyone has bad days but when you are going to relay a message like this it is crucial that you as the vet at least sound sympathetic, instead she sounded irritated immediately. When I asked questions it was apparent that this vet was getting frustrated with the questions and ultimately told me "that has nothing to do with the probable cancer, you need to start thinking about palliative care with pain management." I felt rushed off the phone, she did let me know I could take my time to think about being referred out but life expectancy would not be much longer. Very matter of fact, no action plan, very clear she did not want to take anymore time to deal with it. Only thing offered to manage symptoms was pain meds. Luckily I'm educated can read ultrasounds and decided to take my dog back to his primary vet. Thank goodness there are vets in town that go above and beyond to help your pet, showing diagnostic test results, explaining in detail, and plans for future management. Oh and not immediately jumping to being referred out to DFW because you either lack education/experience or just do not want to deal with it. & BTW the diagnosis was not correct, not even close. All weekend I was in emotional distress thinking my pet of 13 years may be dying and feeling abandoned by the vet taking care of him. I will never recommend your office to anyone. There are good people there, but unfortunately the good does not outweigh the bad in this circumstance.
4. For anyone who has issues just know you can go to the Texas Board of VME and place a complaint if you feel as though your pet is not being taken care of properly.

We love this vet! I've been using Dr. Bloodgood since 1999. He has been excellent. We had a rescue dog, which he put back together after we found him completely broken. He now takes care of my two dogs and cat. I 1000% recommend this vet.

My dog went there from 2016 to Sept 2024. From shots to meds to being boarded. We spent alot! When my dog died in September I called to let them know and all they said was We will close her file. No compassion! If I get another animal, it won't go there.
