I had my sweet baby’s teeth cleaned here yesterday!! I would first like to say that the staff is so kind! Not only did take such good care of my baby, but they also took care of me being incredibly nervous!! So happy I found them!!! I also would like to point out that in comparison to other vets, they are very fairly priced!!!

Where to start? I drove three plus hours each way to take my boy for his vasectomy. I found Greenwood on the recommended vet list for vasectomies and ovarian sparing spays. I decided to use Greenwood after speaking to the office. (I called several clinics) The only vet who would talk to me was Dr Raj who got on the phone to go over the procedure. The front desk staff was amazing and took time to answer my questions and prepare a thorough estimate. Now about my boy…. He is A LOT! A teen 90lb bouncing full of life monster. Dr Raj was great with him with very calm and caring energy. His recovery was super easy with minimum swelling. I will be back when my girl is old enough. Thank you for showing my boy and me genuine caring.

I will never bring any of my pets here again. I am so heartbroken and angry that they turned my dog away and made a guess at what his diagnosis was. Never did any testing just told us they couldn't do anything until we had 5000 dollars for a surgery and also said his issue wasn't serious. That was a lie, the lump on his neck grew and grew and grew so we took him somewhere else who actually did more than stab a needle in his cheek. They opened it up to discover their thought on what it could be was wrong! My dog could have been saved had they tested or even opened up the lump. Instead my poor dog suffered and after everything it was too far advanced and we had to have him put down. I will never forgive this place for turning us away when my dog clearly needed help! The pictures show how big it was getting and the last one is the hole in the side of his neck that was continuing to grow. My poor baby deserved better. He was only 14 months old!!!

Before diving into the whole story so you can appreciate how much you should go to Green Animal Hospital, I want to say I cannot thank Dr. Raj and the entire staff at Greenwood Animal Hospital enough for saving my sweet girl Tuna's life. They handled a devastating situation to me with an incredible level of skill, professionalism, kindness, and flexibility.

Several months ago I had her checked out by another vet for an alarming bump on her arm. The diagnosis was basically the worst case scenario, an aggressive form of cancer. That vet said that given the type and size of the tumor, the best case scenario was that she would need to have her arm amputated, but that if it had already spread beyond her arm then there was basically no hope for her. She's an eleven year old dog, so amputating her arm would have likely meant she would never have been able to walk again. The vet recommended palliative care, and noted that her type of cancer has a life expectancy of 1-2 months.

I accepted this prognosis, and worried and stressed and watched my girl as she ambled around in her normal way. After a couple of weeks of watching her, I decided to get a second opinion, even though the vet was pretty definitive about her situation.

I stumbled on Greenwood Animal Hospital because it was close, and they were able to fit me in for an end of day appointment quickly. After reviewing the previous vet's records, Dr. Raj agreed with the diagnosis, but told me that her type of cancer typically spreads to the heart, lungs, and bones first. Those areas are relatively easy to test for, and if the cancer had not spread he felt he could remove the rumor without having to amputate her leg. I agreed to have those tests done, which they were able to do onsite right away. After a few minutes we got the results that her heart, lungs, and bones all looked clear.

Dr. Raj wanted to schedule another appointment quickly for surgery to remove the cancer, but I had another wrinkle. I was leaving the city in two days without a clear return date. I really thought the second opinion would just be formality affirming the initial prognosis.

With this information and despite the fact I was literally the last appointment of the day before they closed, Dr. Raj offered to keep his team late, do the surgery THAT NIGHT, and also to schedule a 24 hour post-op appointment. Obviously I agreed, and they Greenwood team went to work. The surgery went well, and I was able to pick Tuna up about four hours after agreeing to do the surgery. Her follow up appointment went well enough, with some minor changes necessary to her stitches being required.

That was three months ago. Since then, the post surgery evaluation of the tumor revealed that they removed all of the cancerous cells, and it does not look like it should be returning. Tuna's arm has completely healed, and she continues to dawdle and amble around in ignorant bliss that she would likely have been gone by now if not for the work of Greenwood Animal Hospital. Even though I left the city a couple days later, while Tuna spent two months recovering I was able to send pictures of the wound to Greenwood and received updates and suggestions about when I should be concerned, what my next steps were, etc.

I could not have asked for a better outcome, and all credit goes to Greenwood Animal Hospital. My hat is off to Dr. Raj, who was willing to drop everything to do a tricky surgery, and to the rest of the team who stayed late with no notice, and then spent weeks helping me in the follow up. You should definitely always get a second opinion, and you should definitely go and do that at Greenwood Animal Hospital.

I really appreciated the warmth & kindness of the team here - they were very sweet with me, helping to put me at ease when I was nervous about my cat going under anesthesia. I didn't meet the vet, but everyone who helped us here was wonderful throughout the procedure and after. I could tell they truly care. They kept me updated throughout the surgery, & went above and beyond afterwards to check in and make sure my cat was healing well and had everything she needed. Thank you so much 🙏

As a very particular dog mum - I was hugely reassured by the wonderful Vet and team at Greenwood. Our puppy was neutered, is recovering well and was treated with the upmost kindness and love from their team. I had lots of questions about drug dosages and side effects and was thoroughly reassured.

Our German Shepherd underwent a full dental cleaning at Greenwood Animal Hospital. We chose Greenwood because the veterinarian we previously used quoted us a cost of well over $3000!!! Greenwood, on the other hand, quoted us a very fair cost. Be brought our German /shepherd in at 9:00AM and we picked him up only four hours later at 1:00PM. The staff at Greenwood did a very thorough job.
Greenwood is an excellent veterinary center and we are indeed glad to have discovered this wonderful animal hospital.
