The entire staff was fantastic, but a special shoutout to Vet Tech Missi! She was truly amazing and turned what could have been a very stressful emergency visit for our puppy into a much more manageable experience. The comfortable waiting area also made the long wait feel significantly shorter and more pleasant.

From the receptionist, to Dr. Joseph. I can’t begin to describe how kind and caring everyone was! Our family corgi had hurt his back and was suggested to see a neurologist at some point. The staff was so kind, especially the assistant that gave our dog some extra love and told us he was a big hit with everyone in treatment 😂. Dr. Joseph was so wonderful and gave us it straight and told us what we needed to hear! Such a wonderful doctor. Highly recommend Guardian!

Gatsby's appointment was very straight forward to the point and answered all of our concerns. The vet/surgeon knew what's best for Gatsby, had a lot of compassion for my pet, and answered all of our questions. Gatsby has visited possibly around 10 veterinarians his whole life and this guy definitely stood out for having extreme knowledge on canines in a compassionate way. Some vets just care about money, however he knew what was best in a financial-saving, emotional way. He is an amazing asset to your team and deserves all the recognition!

I am a long time client of Guardian Veterinary Specialists both in their emergency department as well as their specialty Neurology department. I have always been pleased with the care my dogs have received. Everything is carefully explained by caring doctors. The staff are also caring and helpful. It is great to have such a qualified team nearby when there is an emergency.

Let’s start by saying that I had an emergency because my dog was brutally attacked by a human named Brandon who broke her back and raped her . Horrific!!! Anyway the surgery was performed and . successful. And I was very pleased and grateful ! Months later she started bleeding so I had a second surgery which was a hysterectomy and again successful. And was greatful .= $ 20.000 total for both. Worth every penny!!! Over a year later had a problem with water retention. Called a a nasty demon answered and I explained the situation . This individual answered every question with a nasty uncalled for.!!! Questioning about costs. And telling me that they were not a primary vet . Remember I was using them for her care . She was beyond horrific . I eventually ended up not taking her there because of this demon was making it impossible and needed care . It’s been some time now but I was reminded recently and I had to let everyone know about this situation I hope to god she was fired or came down with a disease . When I was in need this receptionist had no empathy and treated me so badly that I will never forgive or forget. The care for her earlier was extraordinary but if this happens to you ask to speak to someone else right away. and report her. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name. Abbey was my family not a dog.

The people at Guardian AGAIN,
were very kind, caring and professional when we needed them.
Our dog received excellent care that night.

Stay AWAY!!!! Do not bring your pet here in an emergency. Our kitten dropped into a near death state, wasn't breathing, was ice cold and turning stiff. We rushed to Guardian to save it. The staff worked fast to stabilize the cat, but after 30 minutes came out to the waiting room with an estimate of $6,000 to continue saving the cat. I was shocked but said ok and after reading the sign on the counter which said CASH DISCOUNTS, I told them I had to run home to get cash, 15 minutes away, who carry's $6,000 cash in their pocket?

I was told, I was not allowed to leave. I said What? Your not allowed to leave, if you leave you will have to bring your cat. What do you mean? I brought my cat here for life saving immediate treatment? The vet and assistant both said the cat probably wouldn't make it off life support. The individual at the counter said I could only pay with credit card or sign up for care credit. Otherwise I would have to leave with the cat. You heard that right. They were forcing me to open a credit card instead of saving my cat. I kept saying I live 15 minutes away I'll be right back. THE SIGN ON THE COUNTER SAYS CASH DISCOUNT. Needless to say they forced me to leave with the dying cat and travel to Katonah emergency care 25 mins away. Vets there were astonished, every person couldn't believe a place in charge of saving animals would force a person to travel 25 mins with a dying cat, of 8 weeks and under 1lb and refuse service, and that my cat was most certainly not going to survive off life support. I have doctors notes supporting that. Katonah allowed me to leave the cat, go home and get the thousands of dollars required to save the cat.

In the end, Katonah Veternary center saved the cat, which is now eating normally and has good prognosis.

There is a saying in Hebrew. " Money above life, always"
