UPATE: I've changed my review to one star, should be Zero. To add insult to injury, there a response to my review from "owner" below stating they tried to call me but my mailbox was full and if I'd like to discuss further, to call the practice manager. So, this is a bold faced lie or they called the wrong number, most likely the former. My mailbox has NEVER been full in the 20 years I've had it. I do have an answering service though, and not a single message from anyone. I requested to speak to the manager on the day of the issue and was only given relay messages from the front desk. And, when I picked up the records, the notes did state I said I was dissatisfied and would not be returning. Absolutely true because I was not paying for more medication for a mishap that they refuse to take responsibility for. Their notes also stated that I threatened to leave bad reviews - NOT true. What I said is that I would leave factual reviews of what happened, which I did, with pictures to corroborate. So, if this is a bad review, you have no one to blame but yourself. I was also give info on that day to call "said" company that owns them so I could file a formal complaint. That was over a week ago. I called multiple times and was never able to reach a live person so I left a very detailed message. No return call, no resolution, just BS.

I am very sorry to have to leave this review. I have brought my dog here for over a year and Dr. Gerena is great, as are Lacey and Debbie at the front desk. After our visit this week, my dog was given medication as shown in the photo. It clearly says on the label give .6ml with directions underneath on how to mix the medication. So, I added the water but the medication didn't look right so I called them back, explained the situation and was told I didn't need to add the water. Then they admitted they usually put the label over the directions to avoid confusion. REALLY? It would have been nice if I'd been told that when they gave it to me! Even after admitting that, they wouldn't replace the medication and wanted me to repurchase with a 25% discount. This medication was $66.50, so that would have been another $49! In the past, with a different medication, I was given explicit directions, verbally and/ or on the receipt. I was very surprised at their lack of willingness to help and called another vet in the area. I sent them the photo and they agreed that HOF should have replaced the medication because it was their mistake for not telling me to disregard the directions. This vet offered to comp it to me out of the goodness of their heart as long as I didn't disclose their info. So, I got the medication "free" from this vet even though I paid Heart of Florida. Very disappointed because I really like the rest of the office but the management needs help. As someone who has their own business, this is not how you work with customers. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I bring my pets here after a terrible experience in another vet clinic in the area. Here they were able to help my cat who could not pee. I like the professional attitude from the staff and the doctor. Very to the point and not wasting time. My cat was better a week later. The clinic is not super modern but the service was great. Definitely recommend!
