High Point has been my vet for the past 20+ years. They have always been so caring and compassionate to not only my fur babies, but for my human family members as well. Being our vet for this long, we have lost a few babies, so they have been a huge part of leading them over the Rainbow Bridge. Each time with the utmost empathy. Yes, I have about a dozen other veterinary clinics between my home and High Point, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else for my babies care.

My complaint is not with the actual care of our dog. It is with the lack of communication and lack of accountability for the huge additional expense that we incurred because of that communication. Our dog is 14 years old. We were told that he had a mass on his spleen and that surgery would potentially give us some extra time with him but that it would be risky. We were told the cost for the surgery and were led to believe that after care overnight would be at their clinic. A visit to the Emergency Hospital was mentioned, but it was not made clear that this would be for overnight care, post surgery. On the day of the surgery, the staff told us twice that overnight hospitalization was covered in our $2,500 bill. Even after we were told we had to take him to the Emergency vet, we were also told that it was covered. So once we get to the other facility to care for our dog overnight, we learn that we can either take our dog home to die or shell out another $3,200. As much as we love our dog, we would not have taken this route for a 50/50 chance for $6,000. We were not given anywhere close that kind of estimate of cost and to have to make a decision about bringing our dog home to die with a gun basically to our heads was awful. When I spoke directly with Dr Liska about this, he was cold and did not take any responsibility for this.

I have always loved this vet but today made me love them the most. We had to put our sweet Bella girl down and Dr Liska and the whole staff were amazing. There are probably cheaper vets out there, but you get what you pay for and this place is the best of the best.

We are so happy that we took Tucker to High Point Animal Hospital! We have been looking for a new Vet and we found them. Both staff & Vet were a delight to work with. Vet was thorough and explained all findings. She answered all our questions and thus made us feel better about Tucker's health. Try them out - I am glad that we did.

I have been going to High Point for many years. All staff are very professional and compassionate. Everyone takes good care of my new skittish, anxiety ridden, mini aussie and understand her needs. Much appreciated. Monica does a fantastic job grooming her, too.

Always a good experience at High Point. And now with my 2 mini aussies who are skittish, they are always helpful getting me to and from the car. I really appreciate that going the extra mile for me. Love all the staff at High Point, and Dr Liska and partner Christian Hoyt. Monica takes great care in grooming my babies, too. They give her fits, I am sure. She never complains.
