We went to HPAH today and were so pleased with every interaction we had with the front desk staff to Dr Hudson and his assistant. Axel had developed a bump overnight on his hip, HPAH kindly were able fit us in as new patients on the same day. They even gave us a goodie bag with treats and our prescription when we left. They exceeded our expectations with the care they showed Axel.

Dr. Henry has always taken the absolute best care of my dogs for the last 10 years! All the other doctors we have seen including Dr. Wright, Dr. Hudson and others have also been so great! I love this place!! Front desk is very nice and welcoming, establishment is clean and easy to find. Dr. Vandermeer took care of my sweet Mango kitty as he had to have surgery. I was very nervous and he walked me through the procedure and helped me understand everything that would be happening. He personally called me after surgery to let me know he was awake and the procedure went great! They even sent me a picture of my baby when he woke up which made me feel really great about the place I chose. I will 100% be back and would recommend this place everyone!

HPAH has been a great change up from my usual animal clinic. I used to go to another one around here, but was always faced with extremely long appts, waiting for sometimes three hours for an answer of what's going on with my GSD's stomach issues. Since switching to HPAH, I have received impeccable care, great pricing despite being in Highland Park, and I always see the most adorable puppies in here. I'm always taken back within minutes of waiting and they do most of the testing on site which keeps my appointments fast and reliable. Plus, I love the adoptable cat room, the kitties there are so sweet and fun to play with! I've personally met all the Doctors there, and they are all so friendly and approachable. Dr. Wright is who my German Shepherd sees and I have 0 complaints, but if I could use all the docs I would! You really can't go wrong here. Plus, the hospital is gorgeous and well maintained. There's always nice cars in the parking lot which explains the kind of clientele drawn here. Overall, very pleased with this hospital and plan to be a client for years to come!

Awful experience. I used the clinic for past three years but now am never going back. The charges they do are generally higher than other clinics, but I was willing to pay for higher quality of service. However, it turned about that they are inferior. Last visit, I was charged with $200 emergency office visit fee on top of the bill, and they told me it is because I did walk-in. I had walk-in visits multiple times before and was not charged for such fee and was never told such fee existed. I called in before the visit and the nurse said it is okay to come in and wait, so the doctors and squeeze in appointment when anyone gets available. I disputed the charge, and I had to wait a day to talk to Manager and waited another day for the Manager to hear back from Director. The answer was that they apologize that I was not told of the fee, but they still must charge because they believe it is a proper charge and my agreement is not necesary. Nurse initially told me that they implemented this fee starting a month ago, and Manager later told me that it was the practice that they had for a long time, which was confusing and seemed disorganized. I was never told and agreed on the fee, and previous visits were not charged. Not consistent and they will just add on charges to the bill whatever they believe is “proper” without your agreement or knowledge. I would highly recommend staying away from this malicious business.
