We LOVE Island Vet Group! Everyone here is kind & caring. They give the best advice for care for our dog & are very thorough. Every doctor & tech goes above & beyond for our dog Daisy, even going as far as giving her shots on the floor because she gets nervous on the table. You can tell that everyone here loves their job & had your animals best interest at heart. They have taken care of my family’s dogs for years so we never questioned where to bring ours when we brought her home. Can’t say enough good things about IVG, we recommend them to all our friends & family!

I have amazing experience with Island Veterinary Group, from front desk staff to nurses, to doctors in house are a dream team! My Pomeranian fur baby (a senior baby now) has been seen by both Dr. Martin and Dr. Kaplan in different occasions, they’re both absolutely knowledgeable, patience, kind, thorough in their exam process, comprehensive in explaining the issues, options, and provide the most practical and logical advice and treatments. They treat your dog like their own and are by far the best vet experience I had. In addition, their prices are reasonable with no unnecessary up charges. They follow up and follow through even after the visit to ensure my Pom Pom is doing well and continue to address my questions with urgency. We had to bring our dog Preston there yesterday after he stopped breathing. He’s a regular patient there who regularly receives top notch care from Dr. Martin. Well, yesterday was a terrifying ordeal but Preston was in excellent hands. He was treated by the newest vet Dr. Kaplan who gave him really thorough treatment. But just as importantly, he knew how upset my mom and I were and was very kind and compassionate. He even took a few pictures of Preston per my request so I could show my mother that Preston was doing ok during treatment! Highly recommended!

Let me start with the sad fact that Molly has traveled over the Rainbow Bridge to be with our family on the other side. The way she was treated at island Veterinary Group deserves another mention even now. Frcm the very first time we sent there the doctors and staff treated us like special relatives who had come to visit from out of town. They quickly learned what made Molly and I comfortable and practiced what they learned. That is why Molly and I were always happy to go there and there was never any discomfort whatever the treatment. That alone would be a recommendation for a Veterinary group. You can't go wrong taking any of your best friends and really family there to be cared for.

Gosh, this place is filled with people who truly love what they do. Their compassion, their service, and how they go above and beyond for each individual pets needs does not go unnoticed. As a first time dog owner with a senior dog, I have been struggling to find a vet environment and experience that makes me feel supported (especially while navigating the tough conversations that come around having a senior dog). My dog had to have surgery and hearing that at his age was a scary experience. From start to finish, every person here cared for my dog as if he was their own and kept me included in every step of the process. From phone calls, to pictures, I was truly comforted while waiting till I could pick him up. They have thought everything out from a patient perspective to put our pets and us owners at ease and I could not be more appreciative for being referred to them. They were my saving grace through a challenging time and me and my dog are so grateful for all they have done. Truly thank you.

We moved to New York a few months ago and were nervous about finding a new vet. After our first appointment with Dr. Martin, we could not be more happy! The folks at Island Veterinary Group are all so friendly and knowledgeable. Even scheduling an appointment was a pleasant experience. And, most importantly, our dogs love their vets and vet techs.
