From the first phone call to being released from care, our experience with MedVet Dayton was stellar. Our initial call to the facility was in mid-December via a referral from our local veterinarian for our 5-year-old pup , Roxy, who had lost all mobility in her hind legs. An appointment was made for 3 weeks in the future as per our local vet's suggestion and limited appointment availability due to the Christmas holidays.

Within days, our dog continued to worsen, so we called again to see if an earlier appointment might be available. In speaking with Mandy, her concern about Roxy's condition prompted us to immediately come to the facility to be seen.

Every staff member we interacted with that day treated Roxy with extreme care, and were kind and thorough in explaining Roxy's condition to us, her very emotional and frightened pet parents. Ultimately, we chose to have a CT scan and surgery based on the the imaging findings of a ruptured disc in Roxy's spine. The staff was 100% transparent on costs, expected outcomes, and the potential prognosis, which we very much appreciated.

We were kept informed through each step of Roxy's care and after-care while she remained in the hospital, and were encouraged and accommodated to come visit her. We felt well-prepared to bring her home because of the information that was communicated to us by the surgical care team. Once home, our many calls and emails with all the questions we had were answered in a patient and timely manner, even though this was during the Christmas/New Years holiday time frame.

We are very grateful for the professionalism and care that we received at MedVet, especially from Dr. Price, who performed the surgery, and Roxy's surgical care team of Michaela and Mandy, who are rockstars, in our opinion. Although Roxy's prognosis was less than 50% that she would ever experience improved mobility, she is walking and continues to improve weekly. We believe that her amazing recovery is due to the stellar care she received at MedVet.

Because they actually care. They were my 3rd opinion on my dog and they were amazing! They took the time to actually explain everything and genuinely seemed to care. No one could see my dog for weeks even months. I called and they got us an appointment in 3 days and he is having surgery in just 3 days after our consult. We are truly blessed to have found them!

I cannot thank the staff at medvet enough. I brought my cat in last week for an emergency. Devastatingly, we discovered through their helpful guidance, care and expertise that my precious girl was too sick for recovery. They helped me to understand what I was looking at and stood by me the whole time (even holding me) while I had to make the hardest decision of my life. I just received the most beautiful card from them. The care and love that this staff has is beyond anything I've ever experienced and I truly cannot thank you enough. Thank you for being there for her in the end and thank you for being there for me.

My 6 month old kitten, Ruby, ate a hair tie and they did excellent with her! She doesn’t do too well with strangers, let alone the vet but they still took such great care of her even when she was being feisty. I’m so glad I made the 45 minute trip here to make sure she would be alright. To every single one of the workers that were there on 2/7/2025 at around midnight to 3am: Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are all so beyond appreciated. I know she wasn’t the easiest to work with but you still made sure my baby was able to make it home with me. If you have an emergency situation, they really are the best to go to! 10/10 recommend!

Tonight my feral cat went to sleep for the last time. After 12 years living around my home and in the basement for the winter. So sweet but so scared of everything. I called MedVet and Scott was wonderful to talk to, doctor and staff were so comforting to us.
I was never much of a cat person but she showed up at my door and with time became best of friends. The doctor said she found me and it was everything I needed in that time of my life. I can't be thankful enough that pet professionals are working 24 hrs for our needs. I know she went peacefully and thats all I can ask for.

We had to rush our sweet fur baby, Ellie, there last night for emergency euthanasia. Every person we dealt with was so very compassionate, caring and professional. They did their best to calm our anxious hearts. We knew our baby was in the best hands. We highly recommend them for top notch care and compassion.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the moment staff answered the phone, to taking my very scared boy and calming him with special treats( his love language) to putting up with me. Allowing me the unlimited time to say goodbye to my best friend, non judgemental atmosphere and friendly staff. The vet was excellent and I wish I could remember her name.So sweet and professional as I fell apart and answered my questions until I felt secure in my decision. Thank you from the bottom of my 💜
