Loved this place, after my go to vet closed down it has been hard finding somewhere personable. After coming here I will not be looking for another vet! The front staff was nice and welcoming. Our tech Pedro was very friendly and knowledgeable as to what he was doing. The vet was very sweet as well got right to the point and did not try to oversell! Love that! Anyways all of this to say this clinic is amazing!

I hesitated writing this review for about a year but realized it may help other pet owners. I took my cat in to Metro Paws because she was urinating blood. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong and gave her antibiotics and pretty much told me we’d have to wait it out. She was okay for about a month and then it started again and this time I could tell she was in serious pain. I brought her back and once again, had no idea what it was. I read on the internet it could be bladder stones so I MADE them take an ultrasound and there they were.. 3 huge bladder stones. They told me we had to operate and there was no other way to get them to dissolve. That diet change wouldn’t help her. That this was going to be something she would deal with the rest of her life. I scheduled her surgery and in the meantime changed her diet to medicated food and water to filtered (even thought they told me it wouldn’t help). A WEEK later, she goes in for surgery and they called me to tell me somehow the stones had miraculously disappeared.. I’m not sure if the vets were not taught about the power of diet for pets in school but it truly seemed like they just wanted to operate on her. After that I had many rude encounters with the front staff and decided I couldn’t trust them. Be careful and do your own research.

Today I had a scare with my pup eating something that she shouldn’t have eaten. I frantically brought my dog in for a same day appointment and let me tell you, this was the best experience I’ve ever had at any type of pet related appointment. When I got there, Darren took care of me and my dog like we were his own family. His passion for what he does shows through the way he spoke to me and loved on my dog! He reassured me that her condition was easily treatable in which he gave me step by step instructions and answered questions I didn’t even know I had. The way that each person I talked to at the clinic came together to help me has restored my faith in humanity. Kindness really goes a long way especially in such an emotional and stressful situation. I will forever recommend metro paws to anyone I know that has pet health needs, and they have a lifelong customer as long as I have a pet in need.

Huge shout-out to vet tech Eryn and Dr. Campbell! My cat Callie is *not* an easy patient, and they are amazing with her. I took her in for a tech appt for a blood and urine draw today, and they handled her beautifully and with love. Eryn is the best! Loved her kitty-ear headband. That says it all about how much she loves cats. I always make sure to book appts for Callie when Eryn is on duty. Thank you both so much for being so kind and loving with her.

Dr David Deresz was so helpful in preparing to take my schnoodle over to Hawaii. I absolutely couldn’t have done it without him! All of the staff were helpful and kind, and everyone went out of their way to help me get everything done. Great experience and I would recommend them to everyone!

The entire staff were outstanding, from check in to the techs, to the dr. I loved how everyone made the dogs’ comfort during the visit a priority. We’re so happy to have Metro Paws taking care of our family!

I adore Metro Paws on Skillman. They have an exam room for cats only and it makes my cat Flower so much happier. They are so good with her even though she can be a little grumpy! We had a health scare and they snapped her right out of it.
