We took Jacob in because we were pretty sure he had bloat. He was in great distress and looked like he had a basketball in his tummy. They immediately did X-rays, took information and confirmed he had bloat. An attempt to decompress his tummy with a tube was unsuccessful and he was taken to surgery. They did need to open his stomach to decompress him. They also tacked his tummy to prevent it turning over in the future. We were kept updated and Clarissa even sent pictures so we knew he was doing okay after surgery. Dr. Hill contacted us after we took him home to see how he was progressing. Bloat can kill a dog and they acted promptly to save his life. We are forever grateful!

Truly amazing people. I had to come here as a last resort option in the middle of the night for my leopard gecko to have him euthanized due to some health issues, and the staff was absolutely so kind to me. They let me pick him up the next morning due to a sound they make after they pass which I wasn’t aware of, and they even gave my his feet prints in a nice box. It meant the world to me because I was devastated. They took really good care of my gecko and me and I would recommend them to everyone.

We are so grateful for the staff at Mountain Emergency Animal Center. My Mom need to bring her puppy here on a weekend for an emergency visit. Everyone in the office was kind, helpful, professional and explained every detail. The entire facility is immaculately clean and well kept. The care received at Mountain Emergency Animal Center was second to none and so helpful at such a stressful time.

Back in November my dog needed to be put down. Her regular vet is in Florida and it was the middle of the night. She was crying and in pain and needed to be taken care of as an emergency. While I'm grateful her suffering was ended I'm forever saddened that they trashed my baby girls ashes. I couldn't afford a stand alone cremation so they offered communal cremation and advised I would get the ashes and they would call me when they are ready. I received her paw print but no ashes. I called them to find out the status and they through my baby away. Trashed her, yes!. None of this was explained and I was assured at the time I would get my baby back. To top it all off, they charged me hundreds for such trash service. Horrible place that only wants your money and boy do they get a lot with being the only ER vet in such a remote area. I will never take my baby's to this place ever again and I highly recommend anyone in need to go elsewhere even if you have to drive farther. It's not worth never having a part of your baby with you ever again. I'm so heartbroken and devastated by this. She was my child and your office took advantage of me during one of the hardest days of my life.

My mom took my beloved childhood dog Lady to be put down in the middle of the night mid December of 2024. My mom called the vet today in January to check on her ashes. The vet informs her that they don’t have any to give her even though they originally said she would. Now my mom did pay for the cheaper cremation option because the other one was way too expensive. The vets did not explicitly explain what a communal cremation is to a woman who is hysterical because her dog just got put down. It is the vets job to explain that and they failed to do that, instead they lied and said she would receive ashes. I understand this could be a mistake but this mistake has broken my mom’s heart even more than it already has been. I hope you guys do better for future grieving customers.

While at work, our elderly dog Sadi was bitten by a copperhead. 6pm on Sunday we left, got her, and rushed in to Mountain Emergency. The staff here was compassionate, kind, and just the right amount of humor to make a horrible situation less horrible. Wonderful bedside manner. They kept Sadi overnight with a round of antivenin and care. We called to check on her at around 11pm and spoke to her vet who was kind and professional on the phone. We picked her up this morning and she is high as all get out from the pain medication but she is safe!

I can't begin to say how thankful I am for the staff here. Yesterday evening is a blur, but Dr Val (I believe, I'm so sorry if I misheard.. my brain is jelly after the last 24hrs) is a wonderful veterinarian and a perfect example of what an urgent care provider should be. The office staff and vet techs were amazing to us as well. Emergency vet care is expensive but I can't put a price on helping my 13 year old dog - it isn't a situation where you want budget prices or budget care.

Thank you guys for saving my old dog - you all deserve the best things and I cannot praise and thank you enough. You are wonderful.

My mother’s dog suffered a stroke over the New Year’s holiday. NO vets were open in her town but we found Mtn Emergency and I am so thankful that we did! Everyone was so kind to her throughout the experience, and I cannot say enough great things about all the staff that helped take care of them. They are a very compassionate group of people and were absolutely wonderful in our time of need!

My sweet 16yr old Dexter had 3 seizures Thursday, one week ago(4/20/23) so at midnight we had to rush him to this ER vet. My husband and I had the dreaded conversation before we left. Dexter was 16 and had a stroke 6 yrs prior and we would do anything to save our babies except put them through unnecessary torment due to our reluctance to let go. I was in such a state my husband alone took Dexter in the vet and unfortunately we had to call his life journey to a close. Beyond difficult. The team at Mountain ER were so amazing from the first person you meet at Reception. They talked and cried with my husband. They were honest about his condition, age, symptoms rather than giving false hope just for money. I feel they truly have the animals best interest at heart as it should be. They gave us a mold of his little paw print. I don’t have enough words for how wonderful, honest, straightforward and compassionate these people are. We even got a condolence card in the mail. I wish they were more than just an ER because they really have an amazing team of fantastic humans looking out for our furry loved ones. Thank you Mtn ER from The Hubbard’s and Dexter. ❤️
