WARNING!!!!!!!!!I took my cat Alexander to the Saturday the 9th of march 2025 11 pm my cat was blocked I was immediately told that it was gonna be $3000 for them to unblock my cat and if I didn’t have the procedure done, my cat will die it be in the middle of the night on a Saturday I had no other choice no time to get a second opinion they kept my cat until Tuesday morning at 8 AM. They called me at 3:36 in the morning and told me that my cat was unblocked and urinating fine and then I could take him home. Immediately upon taking my cat home, I noticed that he was still not using the Litter box by 1 PM I could tell he still was not pee. I called them back. I was immediately told that I could bring him back in, but it was gonna be thousands more dollars and possibly a surgery This was the first time hearing of the surgery all this place, clearly thinks about is the money I took my cat to the vet to our vet Tuesday afternoon I was told that my cat was not unblocked and that my cat was gonna have to be placed in the hospital for three days to clear up the blockage that this hospital was paid to clear and clearly did not do This is where we’re at right now I paid them almost $3000. They did absolutely nothing for my cat only extended the suffering and pain that my cat was in if my story helps anyone it’ll be worth the $3000. Please stay clear this Hospital read the reviews. As for us, I will be consulting my attorney first thing Monday morning right now. I just need to focus on my cat and making sure he gets better….update after taking Alexander to our vet and them performing the exact same procedure that I had paid North Georgia veterinary specialist to do and spending far less money. Alexander has had a complete recovery. we are grateful for our vet for being honest. I just wish I could say the same about North Georgia veterinary specialist. They scam people and take thousands of dollars when you are most vulnerable. And last most certainly not least north Georgia veterinary specialist could have cost Alexander his life because they did not unblock him and the time that it took for me to get to another vet or if I just trusted that it would be OK and not followed up with another vet i was told that he would not have survived WARNING

I recently had an unsatisfactory experience at this veterinary specialist. As a dedicated pet owner, I value compassionate and attentive care for my animal, yet I found the approach here to be overly focused on profit. When the doctors came out to speak with me, they mentioned payment details first, and I had to specifically inquire about my dog’s well-being. I was particularly dismayed when my dog was referred to impersonally as “it” or “that dog,” rather than by his name.

Dr. Curcio, in particular, had a lax energy and didn’t seem to genuinely care about my dog’s well-being. In a highly stressful situation, he did nothing to ease my concerns, making the experience even more frustrating. For a facility that purports to be a specialist, the staff noticeably lacked basic empathy. The specialist recommended surgery for my dog, but after seeking a second opinion at Russell Ridge, I was informed that the procedure was not required. My dog’s recovery has since been exceptionally positive under their care.

Russell Ridge has a great energy and truly prioritizes the well-being of pets. They took the time to reassure me, provide thorough explanations, and make me feel confident in my dog’s treatment plan. Thanks to their compassionate approach, my dog is recovering quickly and comfortably. Based on this experience, I would advise potential clients to carefully consider all available options when seeking veterinary care.

Took one of my dogs here yesterday. He is 10 years old and was shaking, breathing hard, and struggling to walk. They did bloodwork for $1000 and gave mild medication for the pain and for a bloody stool. The next day he could not walk, so we returned. Since it was still within 24 hours, they didn’t charge an exam fee which I really appreciated. They gave us more options which could’ve been offered the day before. If he gets worse i will probably take him somewhere else. They couldn’t really say if it was “an injured ligament or cancer.” These are drastically different.

Very good service from the moment you enter until you leave. They managed to save my baby cat. The price seemed good to me for an emergency. They explain everything and help you. Many thanks to all the staff who supported me and also speak Spanish. My Diamond is already happy

Please don’t take your pet here!! These people are ONLY about money!!! My daughter took her dog here after he injured his paw and was bleeding uncontrollably. They lacked empathy and compassion. They said he needed surgery and a blood transfusion but wouldn’t do anything without a $3000 deposit. We ended up paying $650 for bloodwork, sedation, a bandage (that was put on too tight), and a plastic cone. Sent on our way saying he needs surgery and may not be able to walk again because he needed immediate surgery. Well he made it through the night and is improving. Russell Ridge is a much better option. They saw him and he didn’t need surgery. They removed the too tight bandage that was causing his toes to swell and put on a new bandage. He was then able to walk!

My experience was good, my payment was high, but it was close to the other quotes I received and my dogs 2 followup appointments were included in the price. They take the time to work with you on the quote, giving you a high or low option depending on what they see during the surgery. I did feel compassion from the team but at the end of the day it's a business

I went here twice, one because the tip of my dogs tail got shut in the sliding door, and most recently to put down my beloved husky/malamute mix, Hachi. They were compassionate the night before we decided to put him down, and the doctor (a female, I forget her name) who put him down on Sunday morning was just so kind. Thank you for making something awful as good as it can be and for caring for our boy.

For having such a heart breaking time with my precious dog, who had cancer, (and who went through pre, post surgery- and subsequent visits)- to sadly putting him to peace, the staff at NGVS were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive- from the front desk- to the Med Techs- to Dr. Curcio- they took time and a vested interest.
Anytime I called, I got real time information- as well as very timely call backs from them- as well as Dr. Curcio. My little baby had special care and love for such a heartbreaking time.
I cannot tell you what a difference this made to me amidst my own pain and sadness how kindly we were treated. Yesterday, I received a beautiful card in the mail- and it was so heartfelt....and signed by so many of the caring staff that we got to know. So appreciated. xo

PS. I saw comments about the $- actually, NGVS was better in price from what I was told than many other ER Vets like Blue Pearl, etc. In fact , my experience with 2 other non ER Vets- before I needed a specialist- were very expensive.

Thank you again to all who showed such love and care to us!
