I had to take my beloved fur baby in to have her put to sleep after the hours of my regular vet. The staff was so compassionate and caring. They explained every step of the process and gave us as much time with our fur baby as desired. We got to hold her paw and pet her as the process occurred giving us peace and closure in a highly sensitive situation.
Every single staff member that we encountered was as kindhearted as the other.
Thank you so much for taking such good care of Bonze and our family.
They also sent us home with prints as a keepsake.
Thank you!

So this location killed two of my blue pit bulls due to the high prices and pure unadulterated lack of compassion. Everything was about money and my husband lost his support animal. Don’t go to the emergency vet cause they don’t care about you or your loved ones. My husband wrote a review, and now it’s not there. Not sure how they were able to remove a valid WARNING. If you love your pets and want them to have a CHANCE at life without taking out thousands of dollars worth of debt, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

We took our cat here because he had caught a cold and was having trouble breathing. He was coughing and lethargic. We were there several hours only for the vet to come in and tell me and my daughter that our cat more than likely had heart disease (he is five yrs old) and they needed to run thousands of dollars of test on him. She also said she couldn’t guarantee that he would make it through the night if we took him home. She wanted to keep him on oxygen overnight. Mind you his oxygen levels were normal, heart rate was normal. We left without test and took him to our normal vet today. He is perfectly healthy and just needed an antibiotic shot for the COLD that he has. The vet there terrified my 14 yr old into thinking her precious baby was about to die. She was in tears throughout the visit. We will never bring another pet here!

Took my cat there and I was told that he needed a procedure worth close to $4,000. How can these people charge so much money? They basically leave the fur parents with the options of spending the high amount of money or putting them to sleep. Most if not all of these locations function in a so inhumane way, how can they sleep at night? One would spend one or two hundred dollars in Mexico for the same treatment. Also, my pet received the exactly same treatment a few years ago at another clinic for about $600, this is reasonable, how can they justify these CRAZY charges? it's ridiculous!

We recently visited this ER Vet after our dog needed a wound repaired, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care we received. While we expected a wait, the process was incredibly fast and smooth, which was a relief. The entire team, from the front desk staff to the vet, was friendly, helpful, and reassuring. When our dog came out after treatment, he was happily wagging his tail—far from the stressed or terrified reaction we feared.

We returned two weeks later for suture removal, and once again, the visit was quick and easy. The efficiency and compassion shown by the staff made an otherwise stressful situation so much better for both us and our dog. Highly recommend for anyone needing urgent pet care!

To start, Dr. Coffey actually helped me with the information to the VETERINARY URGENT CARE located at 1711 Telephone RD who turned out to be absolutely amazing, caring, and affordable but The 288 Animal Emergency Clinic deserves 0 stars.

I brought my kitty, Ralphie, in today because this morning around 5am he jumped into my chest howling. I observed him for about 30 minutes and realized that he was trying desperately to pee. Dr Coffey informed me that he had a urinary obstruction that would require treatment including hospitalization. Dr. COFFEY WAS AMAZING IN EDUCATING ME ON WHAT WAS HAPPENING, WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT, AND FUTURE ISSUES THAT COULD HAPPEN. The issue came in when it was time to discuss financials. Sheena came in and was perfectly nice and presented the $3600 cost of care. I let her know that I could not afford that, I was declined for the care card (which I told her I knew I would be but she encouraged me to apply anyway) and I wanted all options. Initially, I was only given 2 options: Pay that amount for treatment in full or euthanize Ralphie. I absolutely could not euthanize my little guy. She goes back and speaks with the doctor and gives me a new cost of $1500 for one day of treatment still all due up front. At this point, I tell her I'd like to take him home and try to figure something out. This is where she gets a bit pushy and starts harshly informing me of Ralphie's impending death, the kind thing to do would be to euthanize him, and so on. I was well aware of his possibilities but I didn't need her being so stern and forceful in this moment.
She leaves to let Dr. Coffey know that I intended to take Ralphie home. At this point, Dr Coffey comes in to let me know that she can at least drain Ralphie's bladder to give him a very short amount of temporary relief but she heavily advised me to get him somewhere ASAP. She also informed me of the risks of extracting urine from a full bladder. She recommended another vet hospital that allowed for payment plans to be established for care and let me know that Sheena would return with that information. When Sheena returns, she goes over what Dr. Coffey stated about the bladder procedure and follow up information for the other vet hospital. When Sheena explains the procedure she describes it as "a needle going into a balloon" indicating the potential of it rupturing. I DID NOT LIKE THIS COMPARSION! I have never seen a needle successfully penetrate a balloon without it popping. So now I'm absolutely destroyed by the idea that the second the doctor puts this needle into his bladder he will die instantly. Thankfully, that did not happen and I was able to get Ralphie over to the recommended hospital where he is now receiving the care he needs and I am able to pay monthly after a deposit.

I waited 8 weeks to write this review…

I went to this animal emergency clinic 8 weeks ago after little one ran into street after getting loose and mind you no images were completed. The specific words that I remember the provider tell me and my daughter were “ It is in my professional medical opinion that she be put to sleep, she is in too much pain, she will not make it through the night, all her organs are damaged”. And this was with no images been completed. Just a visual exam. I have to say they were extremely compassionate about it. They even provided me with some estimates on cremation I almost agreed with the provider, but my gut told me sign the consent for release of patient against doctors recommendation, and she will make it. I am so thankful that I did that because she has fully recovered at 98%. She was good actually FOUR weeks ago, but I purposely waited eight weeks. She’s going to the bathroom normally she’s running around barking everything I think in another four weeks that back Paw will completely touch the ground.
I’d like a refund honestly because no images were completed and it was just a visual exam. No IV.
It makes me so sad because I wonder how many families agreed with the recommendation of the provider, and no longer have their furry companion.

I was told after my dog received wires for a broken jaw that they would be easily removed and that he could come back and have the same Dr. remove them. Now, there are claims that he needs to come in for a physical exam (that he already has done and has scheduled with someone they recommended.) that will cost AND then after it would be assessed what’s needed to be paid to take the wires out. Anesthesia will need to be added etc…complete lies. Why would I schedule another physical exam just to get wires removed when I already have been getting physical exams by a vet YOU ALL recommended.I have already scheduled paid appointments for a place I was recommended to BY YOU! I was told in the initial visit that the process was so easy and that I could come right it and have it done. It sounds like they just want more money not to mention more than one doctor insisted that I amputate his leg after he was attacked. After 4 different vet visits, I finally found someone that actually cared and he’s been walking on all four legs. I will never come here again.
