My little pup had a medical emergency after an encounter with a porcupine. They took excellent care of her and kept us up to date while she was in surgery. The staff was all very kind and respectful at all times. They also called to check on her after she left the hospital to see how she was doing and to see how she was improving. The care and after care were much appreciated!!! I would recommend SAVE to anyone needing Vet care for their pet.

The receptionist picked up immediately and was very compassionate. She made sure I understood my options, given the clinic’s limitations on a Tuesday (they could not offer overnight care.) The veterinarian was very kind to my dog and family, explaining everything (including the cost) and involving us in the decision making. Most importantly, their medical knowledge and diagnostic sophistication was impressive and allowed for prompt diagnosis and immediate treatment. I couldn’t be more pleased- and when it comes to my precious chihuahua, I am a tough customer!

I brought my 7yo golden to Saves after he had been ill for @ 6 days. I had seen his vet the day before I came to Saves. When he refused food and water, I calked my vet who could not see him.
My experience at SAVES was very positive. From check in, to initial evaluation by the vet tech, to evaluation and treatment by Dr Capozzi, it was exceptional care. I felt they listened to my history and my concerns, and they carefully explained every aspect of the plan of care. The best part was that Luca was feeling better in 24hrs.
As an Emergency RN, I don't use the Emergency depts ( animal or human) unless it is truly necessary. I'm so glad I took my boy to SAVES.

We had a great experience, our elderly puppy needed some attention while we were visiting VT. The staff was amazing! Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. The office called to follow up a few days later and quickly answered any questions we had. They call back very quickly if you leave a call back number too. Strongly recommend them.

It's over 200.00 to walk in the door. Supposed to emergency clinic we had to wait over a hour and a half. They were closed at 7 pm the night our dog passed. So we could not find any place to euthanize our baby and she suffered for hours before she passed. The diagnosis was wrong we told them she fell down the stairs, they said she had a diagnosis that had nothing to do with that yet she bled to death. Every vet or humane society we called had on their answering machine to call Saves. I could tell you the horror story of what we went through that night and it was just 3 days after taking her to Saves. Our baby girl suffered terribly and so did we going through it feeling totally helpless but I'll spare you from it. The worst pain and we are so devastated. Our granddaughter that loved her so much over the last 11 years had to watch and was right beside her when she took her last breath. It's forever seared in our memories.

Dr. Wells, Dr. Kaposi, and the entire staff at saves is top notch! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Our 12 year old dog was very quickly diagnosed with a spleen tumor upon our arrival. We were given two options: a splenectomy or euthanasia. We opted for the splenectomy and they saved our dog! We know that most likely the biopsy will return with the unfortunate diagnosis of a malignant and aggressive type of cancer but we were still able to take our dog home with us. We owe them the world for giving us the gift of more time. Klinger and the rest of our family will forever be grateful for these wonderful and talented individuals! ❤️

Our 2-yr old Shih Tzu impaled her eyelid and required emergency treatment. We are from northern Vermont and were relieved to find this emergency vet clinic. Kind, compassionate and absolutely competent staffing. We are very grateful for the services rendered the day of the accident as well as follow up with our veterinarian clinic and us.

Thank you so much for the compassionate and expert care that you provided to our lab, Cooper, on Saturday morning. We were so concerned when he awoke suddenly in such pain and distress. We were relieved to learn that it was swimmers tails. He has responded well to his treatment and we are happy to report he is back to his happy, rascal self. We are truly grateful for the care he received and while his condition fortunately did not end up being life threatening, we are reassured that the community has such a wonderful resource and team at SAVES.
