We are accidental pet owners and our favorite stray cat had what we think was a bobcat wound, slashed to the muscle/tendon, not quite to the bone. Urgent Vet saw her quickly, sewed her up within a couple hours of arrival, and worked with us on getting the price down to what we could manage. They were SO KIND! Dr. gave us full instructions and answered all our questions. They treated us like we were already their friends. Great place. Photos show one leg shaved for catheter, the other for the stitches.

Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Dr. K and Kristin readily took my kitten in when he had vomited multiple times - went over options with me and treated him with such care and kindness. They called me when they said they would and even followed up the next day to see how he is doing. I hope we don’t need an Urgent Vet again, but since that’s not reality when we do need one, we will definitely use them again

Lidia was very professional and made me and my 11 week old puppy feel welcomed. She was very informative and helpful as well. This was my 1st visit to this place. The folks at the UrgentVet were amazing. We had to bring in our pet twice this week and they were quick to treat her. Both the veterinary doctors and the assistants were very kind, friendly, and informative. The place was very clean and did not even smell like it was a veterinarian office. I highly recommend UrgentVet if you need to take your pet here for an emergency.

You have a member of the family (pet) for 14 years it is a difficult decision to put your pet down. The staff at UrgentVet in Frisco were, all you could ask for, Friendly, Kind and compassionate.
They explained the process thoroughly. Did not rush us with final good byes.
Supper tough job but the entire staff excelled!!
Would recommend to anyone that has to face this tought decision.

Had a very quick and seamless experience with Urgent Vet when I took my injured dog in. Was referred to this place by my regular vet and it was very easy to make an appointment and meet the doctor. The staff and doctor were very thorough and efficient and I was in and out with ease.

EDIT: I was going to delete this review after speaking to the owner today, but I actually decided to leave it to illustrate just how much they care about the animals. Though the experience below did not end well, the follow up by the office to make things right and genuine care and concern for our pet shows they are very much dedicated to giving everyone's pets the best care. I truly believe they will use this experience to learn and grow. I very much appreciate their follow up for our dog.

At the time of the visit, I was very happy with the experience. The staff was very nice and they took great care of our dog's ear infection. They cleaned his ear and packed it with meds to clear the infection over the next month. They also prescribed steroids for the swelling.

The problem, before we left I specifically asked if he was ok to continue taking his Rimadyl (he takes this regularly due to a muscular issue that causes pain in his jaw). I made a point to ask if there were any issues with the steroids and the Rimadyl or any of his other medications that he takes. He's a 13 year old dog so he takes a lot of meds.

I was told there was no problem at all and to keep him on all of his prescribed meds in addition to the steroids. Fast forward one week, and we had to take him to the emergency vet hospital in Frisco for extremely bloody stool, diarrhea, and dehydration. He was having GI issues because of the combination of steroids and Rimadyl. The vet at the emergency hospital was surprised we had him on both at his age as it is "the most common side effects of rimadyl are steroids is diarrhea and ulcers, especially in older dogs".

So when I made a point to ask about issues with his current medications and the steroids, Urgent Vet did not know of an extremely common issue of the two drugs or could not be bothered to check. Instead I got an immediate "oh no it's fine to do both" and be sent on my way. Now we are having to deal with a severe GI issue due to the drug interactions.
