We noticed our new 13 week old Australian Shepherd’s eyes were somewhat red. We’d scheduled an appointment with her new vet but we didn’t want to wait. They were unable to get her in sooner and recommended we call Vancouver Veterinary Hospital. We called and were able to get her an appointment in urgent care that afternoon. We were so impressed by the front office staff who were excited to meet Bella and made us all feel welcomed. The ‘nurse’ who asked questions and checked her vitals was so gentle, kind and thorough. The doctor was wonderful with Bella and answered our numerous questions. He felt quite certain that Bella’s eyes were irritated but offered to send us home with drops. Fortunately Bella didn’t appear to feel any irritation. We opted for the drops but were delighted we didn’t have to use them. Her eyes were much better the next day, one more day and her eyes were clear! The clinic is very nice overall. The highest praise I ca offer is to say we chose Dr.Dawid to be her veterinarian going forward. We’re grateful to have such a wonderful environment for Bella’s care.

I take my dog and cat here, and I can genuinely say that everyone who works here loves them as much as I do.

They take time to answer all my questions, they're honest about all the pros and cons of suggested treatments, and they do everything in their power to make sure they create a stress free environment for all their furry patients.

Because of the vets here, my cats mystery ailment was able to be diagnosed instead of being written off as chronic bladder infections. Her quality of life has improved massively. They listened to me, and made sure I knew I was heard. I'm so grateful my best friend gets to live the life she deserves because of their help.

If you take your pets here, you're putting them in the best, most qualified hands.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They all were able to Vetsplain what to expect in the coming months with a new puppy in a language that I could easily understand. Miss JoJo was a big hit and I look forward to many years of cooperative interaction to ensure JoJo is as healthy as possible.

I went to the clinic to get an International Health Certificate for our puppy before our trip abroad. The staff was really patient and friendly, answering all our questions and giving us clear instructions. Erin, the coordinator, was great, and all our documents were ready on time. Thanks a lot - we'll definitely be back!

Charged me a fraudulent duplicate fee of $450 for a neutering. I noticed the price was higher than it should be and asked 2 separate men working there to provide a receipt and explanation of cost. Neither of them would print the breakdown of costs. The first guy walked away saying he was going to talk to his manager, and the second guy reviewed the costs to me behind a desk and omitted the fact I was charged an additional $450 for a service I did not receive saying “everything looks good.” After they both disappeared to the back, another front desk worker walked over and offered to print off the breakdown of charges. She handed me an invoice that had multiple inaccuracies including incorrect dates and additional charges. I asked and received a refund for the fraudulent charge.

Pros: it's acceptably clean inside, they can fill prescriptions, the vet appealed to my dog emotionally like with a high pitch gentle voice, a gentle demeanor and treats.

Cons: the vet spoke to me entirely in medical terms, even when I asked 'what does that mean'; they asked me 900 times what my goal was but still brought me an invoice at the end with multiple completely unrelated items on it that had to be removed

I was referred here from my sister and honestly so glad I chose to go this direction. Not only was the front staff patient and understanding with my issues/previous record history not being available on demand, but the doctor (Rachel Wertheimer) was so easy to work with and so understanding with my dogs needs. They were so affordable too!! highly recommend over VCA
