Newly moving to Elgin about 2 years ago, it was hard to leave our former vet VCA Hometown as we love the staff and vets there. I’m so glad we found VCA Elgin which seems like an extension to already great care we had in pville. We fully trust VCA Elgin staff with our weenies care and well-being. Dr. Metcalf is an excellent vet and has a great bedside manner for our pups. They are upfront about costs which we appreciate and they are always willing to discuss options with us. Four dogs is a lot to afford as far as vet care, but I always feel like we get the best care for the price here at VCA Elgin. Thank you VCA Elgin staff for your care and compassion towards our fur babies!

Wonderful for family pets. My small dog was scared and tried to hide under the chair. The vet got down on the ground and gave her sweet rubs and let her sniff. She gave her the wellness exam on the floor so she could stay comfortable. By the end my dog was trying to follow her out of the room! She recommended joint supplements for her and she is now jumping and running again which I haven’t seen in about a year. Highly recommend

Last Friday, I had to make the hard choice with my dog Trixie. Dr Candace Richardson was kind, compassionate, and patient. Even though they were booked solid and i was a last-minute appointment, she didn't rush me. She spoke to me, my family, and Trixie explaining everything step by step. She didn't rush me and took every step in the process after she made sure that I was ready (well, ready, not ready). I am so grateful for the way she treated us and my girl. Afterward, they let us stay as long as I needed. It was so hard to leave Trixie, even though I knew she was gone, but there was no pressure from the staff to leave. I felt that both Trixie and I were treated with dignity and grace even when I was a sobbing mess. Thank you Dr. Richardson.

Found my kitten with a broken femur and they are treating him well. within a few days on medication they gave him his eyes cleared up as well as deworming medication that he actually likes to eat. they are a vary honest clinic.
