I cannot say enough good things about this place! My dog had lost full use of his hind legs due to IVDD & there were no available neurologists in all of Oregon. Within 24 hours, VCA had gotten me in with Dr. Korff for not only an evaluation & diagnostics, but for surgery. 2 days post op, my little guy is standing!! Every person here from the surgeon, to the techs, to the receptionist is outstanding. I called so many times with follow up questions and they never made me feel stupid or annoying. The kindness we experienced here is something my dog & my family will always remember. Thank you!!

I've had the misfortune of having to bring my dog here to see different specialists twice, but I couldn't have asked for better treatment. To be transparent with my review, I do work in the veterinary industry, however, I do not work here.

Communication with them is excellent and when my dog had radiation I had the option to text with them which was great. They also did a cute little "graduation from radiation" celebration.

The neurology department squeezed me in with my dog for an emergency same-day MRI and their courtesy and professionalism was top tier even though it meant extra, unexpected work for them.

I was also treated to a small tour of some of their hospital and their facility is large and clean and I felt very comfortable being there.

No specialty and emergency care is cheap, but their prices are on-par with all the other hospitals in the area, and some portions of the treatments ended up being less expensive than I expected. They were always clear with the cost of care.

I really felt like they cared about me and my dog and wouldn't hesitate to bring her here again (although I hope I don't have to!)

They got us in quickly for my dachshund’s back surgery. Staff was kind, very friendly and maintained their professionalism. Communication from staff was consistent while my dog stayed over night for her surgery and recovery. When I picked her up, staff was very gentle with my dog and even showed her lots of affection! It reassured me that I left my dog in good/loving hands. The only time we had any frustration was when we’d call to ask a few questions, sometimes the receptionist seemed snappy and irritated with our questions. However, when you see them in person, they are working back to back and they’re doing their best to answer everyone’s questions to the best of their ability. It can’t be an easy job! Thank you so much for taking care of Daisy and giving her the best care, she means the world to us ❤️

This place is absolutely horrible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.
NO bedside manner. Attempted to force me to euthanize my 1.5 year old cat- or pay $4,000 for 24 hours in the ICU for testing. Ended up discharging my kitty against their wishes and taking him the next morning to willamette valley and paying $500 for testing and answers. My kitty passed the next day from kidney failure- but I was able to get testing for him, as well as care, for a fraction of the cost and MUCH better bed side manor. KAREN is the absolutely most cold hearted vet I’ve ever experienced. AND THEN THEY REPORTED ME TO THE POLICE - all for discharging my kitty and taking him somewhere else. The police came to my house based on a false report that i was neglecting and abusing my animal- that he was “anorexic” HE WAS SICK WITH FAILING KIDNEYS. When the police for the humane society showed up at my door today they were going to arrest me. Based on some false made up reports- all because I didn’t want to have my kitty cared for at this awful place. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.

Unfortunately we had to bring our sweet dog, Juniper, in for emergency help Christmas morning. The team at VCA emergency in Clackamas were so incredibly compassionate and kind. They were ready when we got there, very attentive, and went above and beyond for our family and our situation. So thankful for their care during this difficult time.

This was truly the worst and most heartbreaking experience of my life, dealing with your hospital. I have taken time to reflect so I am able to express myself completely. The reviews stating that all you care about is money really resonates with me. My 14 year old cat was ill and needed to be seen right away. I put my faith in your hospital to help. We checked in and were taken to an exam room where we waited for 2 hours and not one time did we get checked on. Our cat had already been taken to the back, but a check in would have been nice. We went to the lobby to ask if we were forgotten about and was told we were not that the doctor was busy, again would have been nice to be communicated with. We were told we can leave and the doctors would call with an update when available. We said fine…as soon as we were leaving the receptionist stopped us to ask us to pay the fee before we leave. It made me feel like she didn’t trust us to pay when we return or atleast when everything was done. We leave and the doctor calls to tell me her findings from the 300 exam. She explains that she will need 3000 dollars just to diagnose my cat, to diagnose him!! I tell her I don’t have that kind of money laying around. So she pretty much then said euthanasia is what she would recommend. I came in to have my cat healed and now because I don’t have 3000 she’s guessing on what it could be and recommended he be put to sleep. Of course I said let me think about this and I would call
Back, they called me 3 times to check if I had an answer yet, we were distraught, in shock and stressed out by them pressuring for an answer. I didn’t want him to be in pain and suffering so I said go ahead, we returned to say goodbye to him and are lead into a room where i thought they would explain what was going to happen and what to expect, no she’s here asking what add ons we’d like and then asked to be paid over 1100 dollars!!! They wanted 1100 to tell me my cat was sick and to kill him. I paid 1100 to have my cat put to sleep because I couldn’t afford to have him diagnosed. You guys need to make this easier for families and pets. How many pets lose their lives and how many families have to mourn them because it costs more to diagnose an animal than what I’m charged for my own hospital visit. Awful experience.

Techs were RUNNING down the hallways and making whimpering noises like a dog in distress and then LAUGHING about it. Doors were being slammed throughout the appointment. Doctor did exam outside of the patient room, away from us pet parents and that is no where on your website that we cannot be in the room for exams. Appointment started 50 minutes passed the time we had the appointment. Tech was apathetic and rude. Doctor came in and used a high volume when speaking, as if she was at a loud concert. This is NOT how you treat cats. This is NOT a cat friendly place. Super loud, rude, unprofessional staff. Was truly worried about who was handling my cat while he was out of the room. Dr.Anderson then ignored all the information we gave her and suggested the most aggressive treatment even though we explained why we did not want to take that route. I told the tech and Dr. Anderson about my diability and she said she would email me a summary that NEVER came. Once I told her we needed to think things over, she left the room, never came back and the tech was dismissive when he handed us our bill. High price for 15 minute chat, 50 minutes AFTER our appointment time, no follow up, rude staff. We will NEVER come back to a VCA clinic after this experience. The lack of professionalism that we were hearing while waiting in the room was unreal. Running, making fun of animals in pain and slamming doors. The room was DIRTY and we felt uncomfortable having our sick cat there at all. Dr. Anderson spent 15 minutes with us, spoke super loudly (scaring my cat), and then never followed up. Lastly, NO ONE in your entire staff said hello to my cat or even noticed him. Profit over care is what this feels like. Was the WORSE experience we have EVER had at a vet office. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!

Alyssa sucks. Dr colander sucks. Don’t come here unless you like wasting your money. They want us to come back and spend another $300. Our dog was just seen by them 48-72 hours prior. Won’t prescribe more medication for dog unless re checked. It’s an allergy problem with dog. Not like we are asking for hard pain medication. Stay away if you love your money and pets
