There aren't really words in the English language to properly convey how grateful I am to VCA Preston Park, and specifically Dr. Diaz, for doing everything they can to keep my beloved companion animal with me. Unbeknownst to me, my cat had a congenital heart deformity, which was a surprise to learn at 12 years old! And even with this defect putting him at a higher risk for poor surgical outcomes, Dr. Diaz and her staff kept a very close eye on my boy, even aborting the procedure when his vitals dipped. They helped me get him to a feline cardiologist for the testing he needed to clear him for surgery, and I still have my ginger troublemaker here with me today.

Recently I myself went through a rather traumatic oral surgery of my own, and I really don't know how to thank Dr. Diaz and her staff for taking such great care of him when he needed oral surgery. It seemed quite poetic. I helped him through his dental woes, and because of the talented heads, hearts, and hands at this VCA, he was here to help me through mine.

One note of constructive criticism I think is valid is that I wish they had given me informed consent before they administered zorbium. Us laypeople, we don't know medications, especially newer ones, and had I known that an estimated one in ten cats do not survive their zorbium exposure, I probably would have asked what our other options are. His zorbium trip was a horror show, and I know I bugged everyone in this building calling daily about his case. It had actually gotten so bad I had scheduled a home euthanasia for him, because the window for him to have worked that drug out of his system had closed and he was still not himself. He did just need a little more time, likely due to his CKD stage II status, but looking back it does seem questionable to give such a risky drug to a patient with known weakened abilities to filter the drug out of their system. I would encourage every cat owner to research zorbium, and not only what vets say, because as pet parents, it's really hard to watch your child struggle because of something you let someone do to them. there are countless zorbium horror stories from cat parents, and I wish the veterinary industry as a whole wasn't so caviler about dispensing this (potentially dangerous) drug.

Marisela Diaz (so called doctor) here was very unprofessional. They double booked the appointment and we had to wait 30 minutes for a room to be ready for us. Also the Marisela Diaz was negligent about our dog’s lungs. She told us it sounded a bit weird could be the anxiety. But it turned out to be mucus building in his lungs. And later on developed to pneumonia. She did not even bothered to take a double check on him. Let alone the blood work they did couldn’t even detect any respiratory virus at all! What’s the point of us paying the physical exam and blood test fees when it doesn’t even test for anything other than heart worm?

I switched vet practices for our two 13 year old pups a year ago, after some problems at our prior vet. We had been dealing with some tough issues with Jada - inoperable cancer in her throat. Dr. Ellis immediately took her off of the pain meds previously prescribed because a potential side effect was inflammation, which was impacting her ability to breathe. We immediately saw improvement. Each of the vets we saw at VCA Preston Park over this past year for Jada and her brother Hoover, both of whom were elderly with issues, were thorough, caring, and very knowledgeable. I should have written this review earlier; what sprung me into action today was a handwritten condolence card from Dr. Ellis about Jada’s passing. It was so personal. Not only does the practice take excellent care of my pets, they care about how us owners are doing as well. Best vet practice EVER!

I brought my 5m old kitten for a check up . I’m a new cat owner , I adopted my sweet Grace from Dallas animal shelter and had a few concerns. I called to make an appointment and they were able to schedule us in same day and accommodated my work schedule. From the very beginning to end we felt very welcomed . I’m a new cat owner so I had tons of questions both Grace and I are happy we found this vet , it’s very nice to feel welcomed ☺️

I have been taking my dog here for three years, since he was a puppy, and I like them every time. I've had to visit for both normal visits and for emergencies. The staff handle both in a calm professional manner. You can really tell that the staff love the animals they work with.

I moved and I still come back to this vet because the vets and the tech are good people that I feel comfortable to have treating my dog.

This VCA was always my dogs second love. The staff treated her as if she was their own but Bo is good at stealing hearts. After boarding her here a week she still would have stayed there if she could. The vets are also very good at explaining not only options but what is going on with your fur baby. They do sell food and other things but they don't even try to oversell you unless you ask about it they won't bring it up. Care club is worth it 100% too it allows you to focus on keeping your fur baby healthy and not the price tag. Bo is going to miss you guys!
