We were visiting from out of town when our 9-month-old Yorkie, Bruno, suddenly became lethargic after a walk.

At first, we tried to take him to another emergency vet, but they were at capacity and recommended this clinic instead.

Even though they were very busy, the team got him checked out quickly. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and compassionate.

Thank you, ladies, for taking such great care of our Bruno! We truly appreciate it!

Edit: They even sent a follow-up text to check on him!

We visited VCA in an emergency situation as our beloved Guinevere was doing poorly but took a sudden downturn and we couldn't wait for our vet in Sahuarita to see her. We did have to say goodbye to her that early early morning and the staff and doctor were super kind and compassionate, helping us make sound choices and assisting us in saying a beautiful and dignified goodbye to her. That was one of the worst days of our life but we remember the kindness of VCA's staff as a comfort to that awful awful day. Thank you so much Lizette and to the lovely doctor who's name I sadly have misplaced in my brain but who's exceeding kindnesses are forever imprinted in our hearts.

The team at VCA Animal Hospital and Emergency is very loving. My dog Sunny had been experiencing a limp when walking and began making noises when I would pick him up. We were able to take him in at 11pm. They said he had back problems and put him on pain management. After taking his medicine he is doing much better now. Thank you VCA!!

I had the bad luck of having to take two separate dogs to this VCA late at night two nights in a row last weekend (second visit occasioned by a dog eating all the medicine we brought home from the first visit). Everybody I interacted with was cheerful, gentle with my pups, attentive, straightforward and - most important at 3am - efficient. Also, the bill for the first visit was $200 less than an almost identical visit I had at another clinic last year (why do my dogs always eat grass and then get stickers in their mouths!?). And last years more expensive visit was for a much smaller dog (I mention this because both issues required anesthesia to get the stickers out). At VCAs, it’s always going to be a bit hit or miss bc they’re big and can have quality and not quality folks working there but I had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to go back if needed.

I witnessed a dog get run over by a truck. Called Pima Animal Care Center, they advised us to take the injured dog here. They came outside looked in the dog’s mouth and refused to treat the dog. Said it wasn’t injured enough, sent us to Pima Animal Care Center. The dog passed away at Pima Animal Care Center. It could have got some care sooner…. Is that injured enough Valley? The German Shepards back end was run over by the tire. I’m not sure how looking in the mouth tells you anything about internal injuries or broken bones. But , y’all were wrong! Maybe try that expensive equipment that is designed for that, don’t just guess. They didn’t even check for a microchip. This dog had a family that they could have notified and had an opportunity to make their own decisions. (I didn’t have that information till the next day). My dogs go to Civano for their emergency needs. I would highly recommend them. This was a horrible experience. Sadly people trying to save their animals in an emergency situation don’t have time to read reviews.

The team at VCA was incredible. The kindest, most compassionate and empathetic staff helped me through the hardest day having to say goodbye to my best friend. We came in without an appointment and they very quickly worked us in, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes and made sure my girl was comfortable with blankets and towels in her final minutes. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking for any sort of care for their pets. Thank you to the team
