The person answering the phone was knowledgeable and helpful in 2 separate possible emergencies with our dog. Both times she knew what she was talking about and gave us advice that saved us a trip and probably a bunch of money. They’ve earned our trust and if we call and they tell us to come in, we’ll know it’s in the true best interest of our pet. Thank you!

I woke up to my 8 month old cat pretty much lifeless a couple days ago. Out of nowhere. I rushed him here and they were so kind to the both of us. Unfortunately he only had to be seen for a couple minutes until the vet came in and explained to me that he had FIP and that he wouldn’t make it in time for the medication to arrive, but she also offered to keep him stable until my boyfriend got there so he could say goodbye. Most vets I’ve been to they try to get every dime, but they were so honest and upfront but empathetic and caring at the same time. The comfort room was so beautiful and calming where I got to enjoy my last moments with my sweet boy. I am so glad I chose to come here and that this is where he passed. They had reasonably priced cremation services that I was able to get there. I am so grateful for this place and will always come here for any animal emergency.

These people are wonderful!!! They helped my pug back in 2022 as well as performing 2 surgeries on him this week. He needed his spleen taken out as well as crystals in his bladder and he's 11 years old. I can't thank them enough for their compassion and good bed side manner. Dr Lister is a saint and so are all the associates there. Great Bay Animal Veterinary highly recommended them to perform the surgeries as it was a specialized area. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We had to bring our sweet Golden (Bella) in twice in one week. The first time they performed a procedure that helped us get more time with her. Unfortunately we discovered she had heart cancer and the next time she was in distress there was nothing more that could be done and we had to let her go. The doctors and staff were so helpful, empathetic, and compassionate! It was a very hard thing to deal with and we appreciated their professionalism. Our Bella had a sister and we would definitely use this facility again. Thank you VECC!

They were very compassionate and I could tell they actually cared about my dog. Very knowledgeable doctors. They were also very attentive to my dog's chart and noticed my regular vet prescribed two medications that shouldn't be taken together. He was so caring and helpful I wish I could use him as my regular vet.

Everyone at VECC have been great to my 7 yr old snowshoe cat Milo and me. After multiple visits to my vet to determine the cause of Milo's chronic vomiting, they discovered what appears to be a stomach tumor and suspected lymphoma after an ultrasound. They referred us to Port City ER for an endoscopic biopsy and official diagnosis, but their oncology appointments were booked till April. I called VECC and got an appointment the next week.

I've been very anxious and stressed due to Milo's situation but Dr. Rollings and nurse Liz immediately put me at ease when we arrived with their genuinely kind and honest approach. Milo ended up needing abdominal surgery to get the tissue sample (his stomach wall was too fragile to complete the endoscopy) and he needed to stay overnight. I've read about the pros/cons and differences between surgery and endoscopy and though its more invasive, it may be better that he got surgery since it did enable them to get much better tissue samples from multiple areas, which should lead to a more accurate diagnosis. Dr. Rollings kept me informed before, during and after the procedure, plus he and his team answered my (many) questions, all of which made me feel much better. They were so fond of Milo and everyone took great care of him. The biopsy samples are being sent to the reputable Colorado State University Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, so trusting the results will be accurate as well.
