Of course nobody wants to go to a 24 hour animal hospital. It's usually never for a good reason. But I have to say I had a great experience . Thanks to Doctor Dan Carmichael my dog Spuds is still with us today! Wasn't sure he was going to make it. Spuds was quite the mystery patient. With Dr. Carmichael years of experience he figured out the issue and was able to avoid major surgery. I highly recommend VMCLI.

I want to start off with the fact that all the times ive ever needed VMCLI they have all been good experiences and have always felt SUPER comfortable bringing my babies here when i needed.

My 10 year old shihtzu baby needed a dental procedure done. Ive done ALOT of research on where to go bc she also have MVD (heart disease) which there was a mild risk for anesthesia. Along with all the staff being super sweet and caring, Dr. Carmichael (dentist specialist) has been such a pleasure to work with since day 1 of our consultation to post dental procedure. He really made me feel at ease and comfortable with the process. Im so thankful to him and staff for taking such good care of my baby. Thank you lorraine for being so kind when i was dropping off my bella and easing my worries. Bella had 7 teeth pulled. Dr. Carmichael called me before procedure started , after she was done, and even when we brought her home to check on my baby. I really appreciate that. Leading up to the procedure, he was super responsive via email on all my concerns and questions. THANK YOU THANK YOU. i am so relieved now. We are day 2 post procedure & healing 🤲🏻🥹🥰🫶🏼

Dr. Carlmichael is amazing. I highly recommend him, the best of best. He has a long time of experience and I can truly see that he loves animals. So sweet.
I brought my senior dog Kong for his dental issues and Dr.C throughly examined my baby and was able to book surgery a week after. I was very anxious about having my dog going under anesthesia, but he assured me that my dog will feel better after the surgery with gentle approach.. and answered my emails promptly. Honestly I’ve never seen a doctor who answered my questions and concerns so genuinely even via email. He also called me before/during/after the surgery!!!! I cannot express how thankful I am to meet him. He also discovered another condition during the surgery and he walked me over throughly of next treatment plan. My dog is no longer in pain and he acts like a puppy again. Thank you very much Dr. C and his staff members!!!!!

Also,
We were quoted lower end & higher end with the bill. We made the full payment (lower end) on the day of the surgery and reimbursed me back the next day with the amount that they didn’t do during the surgery. They are very transparent. And also didn’t get charged for 1 month post-op visit.

Overall, I had a greeeat experience with VMCLI
Thank you everyone.

The specialists here are so nice. Unfortunately, I've had two cats who needed to be seen here. One by Dr. Mortgenstern (cardiology), and another by Dr. Scaglione & Dr. Berman (surgery). I truly appreciate all these doctors have done for me & my cats. Recently, they performed a surgery on him that is so rare and so intricate and they totally aced it. Without these wonderful girlies, my boy wouldn't be alive today.

I do have to say that if you arrive here at night, the overnight dr.'s are... umm.. well... they don't seem to have the same amount of compassion as the daytime one's do. (Although the overnight front desk is wonderful & so helpful!). I was very uneasy and nervous about leaving my cat here until I heard from Dr. Scaglione in the morning. She was so compassionate and really helped ease all my concerns. Then Dr. Berman kept me in the loop the entire time my kitty had to stay there. I wish all doctors could be like Dr. Scaglione & Dr. Berman <3. My whole family loves you for saving our boy (he'll always be our boy lol) & for helping us as much as you did! Thank you!

I visited this office yesterday for an emergency for my son's Quaker parrot who eventually passed away while there. The doctor i saw was Dr. Poniatowski and she really was so nice and compassionate. We were there about 5 hours and it was busy there with other animals coming in. We were taken to a grieving room after the bird died so we can have some time with him, my only complaint is literally the receptionist came in 5 minutes later speaking about the bill. I was mourning and crying with a dead bird in my hand (I understand this is a business and they need to get paid) But I felt that there was no empathy or compassion at that moment.

My dog needed urgent care and immediate MRI. This was on my vet’s referral list and closer than the other one. The front desk wasn’t very knowledgeable but the staff was friendly and eager to help. They took my dog in quickly and we didn’t wait long to see a vet. Although I was told they weren’t be able to get me a neurologist this weekend, the young female doctor explained the options/costs and even helped me contact another hospital and made arrangement for the earliest available time. We need more kind professional doctors like her!

this is my second time coming here and i’m happy to say i was very well taken care of. dr mehlrose is the exotic vet. (which unfortunately he’s only there weds-friday, but that’s besides the point) he took great care of my guinea pig. on top of being honest and reassuring, he was very funny. i didn’t get the tech’s name but she was very sweet as she helped comfort my guinea pig during the exam. i am really pleased with dr mehlrose- he’s a vet i highly recommend if you have exotics. he made my boyfriend and i a lot less anxious. super helpful and has a great sense of humor.
i’ll admit the price was high, but i highly recommend him and vmcli in an emergency situation. a few years ago they were so wonderful when i had to put my cat down. i really like this place but wish they had an exotic vet full time.

My dog is in grave condition after being in your care. I contacted the emergency line, suspecting a stroke, but received no response regarding her blood work results. Despite my request to have her re-checked due to potential prednisone related issues(that they prescribed) and was informed that I would be responsible for another emergency visit to re check her and not even a week ago I paid them before they even SEEN my dog with a total amounting to $725. They wouldn’t even give her an antibiotic or pain medication when she was clearly in pain for her severely infected ears and arthritis. Given the dire situation, I believe this is a clear disregard for my dog’s health. Reading everyone’s reviews I am sure tons of other people agree with me. They can care less about the animals they just want your money. I am considering legal action to seek compensation for the unnecessary expenses and the potential loss of my beloved pet.
