Viking Vet saved Teddy’s life from gastric volvulus and then, two days later, from a post-surgical return of the underlying bloat. That, by itself, would be enough of a recommendation. Not every outcome of such an extreme situation would be good, of course; we got a bit lucky. So I am happy to say, aside from their technical skills, the exceptional staff is thoughtful, caring, and willing to accommodate worried and frantic humans in their hours of crisis. I recommend taking your beloved animal friends to Viking. You and your critter will receive the best care available.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Viking vet hospital, after multiple visits at other vets in the are, the staff helped give us more answers and treatment options. They did a great job explaining all the procedures needed for our kitten, as well as thoughtful consideration and help for payment options. They constantly answered our calls when we called a million times over the course of her hospital stay. We ended up losing our kitten but the staff and doctors helped us so graciously and gave her the best care they could. 10/10 recommend.

On Saturday Feb 1st my brother's dog stepped on a nail and it wet through his toe. Our regular vet was closed since it was the weekend and we were referred to Viking Vet Hospital. I am SO glad we were. The staff was so kind, attentive and thorough. The entire procedure, including antibiotics, cost $358 which is very reasonable especially for an emergency clinic. We live in Orofino so having a 24/7 clinic that i don't have to worry about being turned away from, as WSU often has to, is wonderful and the fact that they are all so great at what they do is the icing on the cake. I 100% recommend them for anyone needing a new vet for their fur baby or for anyone experiencing an emergency.

My puppy swallowed a squeaker out of a chew toy and required emergency intestinal surgery. Dr. Clark performed the procedure and he was absolutely wonderful at keeping me updated and informed. Everyone I spoke with was extremely kind, pleasant, and informative. I know this place just opened up so some people may have reservations about trusting Viking with their pet, but they’re awesome (and cheaper than WSU). They have staff on site 24/7 so I was able to call late at night to check on my puppy to see how she was doing and make sure she was eating. I highly recommend!

Something to keep in mind though…they required a hefty deposit before they did the surgery. I was expecting a few hundred dollars or maybe even $1000, but they actually require you to put down whatever the low estimated cost is for the procedure, but they refund you if they don’t use all of the money! I was quoted around $3900-$6000 and I had to put all $3900 down as the deposit, but was refunded about $500 after the procedure. They do take Care Credit though so get a Care Credit card before you find yourself in crisis with your fur baby!

One Thursday evening we noticed our 3 year old English Retriever was acting lethargic, slow, and was having slight bladder issues despite being very healthy several hours earlier. We almost decided to wait tell morning due to lack of nighttime veterinary services in our area. After noticing this problem was progressing quickly I decided to take her in to Viking Veterinary, I was desperate at this point. By the time I got there my dog was a slug, not moving much. They asked a few questions, quickly checked me in, and a technician met with me within 5 minutes. They were thorough in their diagnostic questions and walked me through potential cost estimates and financing options. After some quick blood tests they were able to test her positive for Marijuana. I was stunned, my wife and I are not smokers but moved into a new area a year ago. We still are investigating where she may have got her source. They were able to do lipid therapy, a catheter and stabilized her quickly. Within 2-3 hours she seemed to be returning to our normal Mila. We had her spend the night so she could recover fully. I can’t thank the staff and doctors enough. All the gals were sweet and understanding. If you have an animal that needs emergent care, do not hesitate to bring them in, they will treat them like their own.

Very amazing experience. My cat had a urinary blockage and was given immediate care. They were all incredibly nice to me and super loving to my cat. I cannot recommend any other emergency clinic other than Viking. They also keep you updated with your pet’s care and state. They allowed me to visit my cat for the two days he was kept there and I felt very welcome.

One of my dogs sliced a pad on her right rear paw last weekend, and I headed to Viking Veterinary Hospital for the first time. Gracie got prompt, excellent care; communication was outstanding from the receptionist, the tech, and the doctor; the bill came in just slightly over the lower end of the estimate. Costs were clear and fair. I was very impressed by the fact that right after they discharged Gracie, they forwarded the records to my regular vets; while still driving home, I got a call from them, wanting to know when I would like to schedule a follow-up appointment. Though we did not anticipate complications, I was glad to know that my vets would be able to find answers to any questions they might have. I am completely satisfied with my experience at Viking Veterinary Hospital and highly recommend them.

Two days ago I noticed my male cat was having issues going potty so I rushed him to an emergency vet, only to be told he was fine to go home. Just a few hours later, I noticed he was still having issues and my gut told me not to go back to the original e-vet, and I brought him here. The staff here are pleasant and very respectful of our situation, and very willing to work within a reasonable budget for my boy. After a two day stay in the hospital he is home and much better than he was after being discharged the first time. I live in Pullman but will gladly drive the extra bit to get any of my animals to a vet that I know will provide a top-notch level of care. I have already recommended them to other friends in the event that they have to take their animals in for an emergency. Thanks to the wonderful veterinary team that was there to keep a close eye on him every step of the way.
