I’m not someone who writes reviews but have been incredibly happy with the experience my partner and I and our dog have experienced here so far and look forward to continuing treatment here.

Our dog about 2 weeks ago was confirmed to have a bone lesion and suspected cancer in his front arm — confirmed at another specialist clinic. Two doctors there told us our dog was not a good candidate for amputation surgery due to the risk of clotting he seemingly developed per CT scans.

Shortly after this visit, he had GI issues and was seen at an urgent clinic, where the doctor there recommended we get a second opinion with Dr. Kennedy who she gave the utmost praise for. What seemed like luck occurred the next day and the week after that, when we were able to snag a last minute appointment. Dr. Kennedy, with fantastic professionalism and calming confidence suggested our pet was actually eligible for amputation under her standards and experience. This initial consultation with her offered us the reassurance that our dog had a fighting chance and the ability to spend the rest of his time here with us pain free (however long that may be). Every CSR, coordinator, tech we interacted with, and of course Dr. Kennedy, were incredibly sweet, thorough, accommodating, and thoughtful towards us and our situation.

Our dog had a swift and seamless amputation done two days ago and has been great so far on his road to recovery. Cost of care has also been more reasonable when compared to the initial clinic we went to and well worth it to drive the extra 20 minutes out.

I cannot recommend VCVS enough! We are forever grateful.

We are very lucky we found Violet Crown in our time of need. They saved our dog Nelson's life. Wonderful, friendly and caring staff. Dr. Brehm in the oncology department was excellent and transparent. Highly recommended for serious veterinary needs.

I want to express my deepest appreciation and thanks to the team at Violet Crown Emergency Hospital for the incredible care they provided for my dog, Bruce. When I brought him in, he was in really rough shape—barely able to walk, suffering from a severe infection in his lungs that had gone unnoticed. My vet wasn’t sure if he’d make it through the night and referred us here, which turned out to be a blessing.

Coincidentally, Dr. Bruce was the one who began treating my dog, Bruce, a very rare breed, Lagotto Romagnolo, who’s typically full of energy and life. Dr. Bruce and the team weren’t sure if Bruce would pull through, but they gave it everything they had, and I made it clear I wanted my dog fully back to normal—no half measures.

The team worked tirelessly to drain the fluid from his lungs over the next few days, constantly reassessing and ensuring he got the best care possible. During this time, I was able to visit Bruce, and slowly but surely, his health improved.

Thanks to the dedication, professionalism, and expertise of the entire team, Bruce made a miraculous recovery. Today, not only is he happy and healthier than ever, but he’s also now a proud father of nine puppies! His life and legacy continue, and I owe it all to Violet Crown Emergency Hospital. I sincerely hope I never face another emergency like this, but if I do, there’s no doubt where I’d go. Their emergency services are truly lifesaving, and for that, I am forever grateful.

They made the best out of a bad situation. Our pup was recommended to VC due to a large growth on his back. The results came back and it was not good news.

Heart braking for anyone. They really are part of the family. Throughout the process they were very communicative about the process, our options, and also expenses all upfront.

We went forward with the surgery and they kept us up to date of his progress while he was under and going through recovery. When we got him back it was very impressive their suture work. This attention to detail helped his recovery so much. I was honestly so impressed with how fast our little guy healed for such a major surgery.

After surgery we got the great news that they got it all. I could not say enough great things about VC. Your pet is in great hands.

No pet owner wants to find themselves at a Vet emergency clinic as it usually means their pet is sick or injured. However, during this extremely tough time, Violet Crown provided caring and compassionate care to our dog Little, and we felt they were experts in their field. We even got to visit our dog when she was first hospitalized and see where she was going to spend the night and meet her doctors and care staff. Doctors and staff took the time to communicate with the owners and answer any and all questions and concerns. An added touch that we really loved was photos from Ali (Emergency Dept Coordinator) of our sweet fur baby - made us feel better. Little was discharged with complete instructions and looked to be feeling much better. Our only issue was we had to return for medications as we didn't get enough to provide the prescribed dosage. This location is very convenient to those that live in the Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood area and saved us a much longer trip to AVES or Cedar Park. I do not hesitate to recommend Violet Crown and the reason I knew about it was because it was highly recommended in my neighborhood. My only feedback for improvement would be financing for those that can't afford an upfront payment of thousands of dollars or the ability to do a direct bill to pet insurance. We have pet insurance and most pet insurances make you pay upfront. During these difficult times I would hate to see someone who wants to get their pet the best of care, to not be able to fully pay upfront in an emergency and lose the ability to use this facility. It may be standard in the industry, but maybe it is time for a change given the increased costs of vet care.

My 9 year old bulldog, Beanie, got pneumonia and we rushed her to Violet Crown on a Sunday morning. We were immediately seen by Dr. Geyer who assessed her condition in less than 30 minutes with blood work and a chest x-ray. Beanie was put into an oxygen chamber and started on antibiotics. She helped us understand that it might get worse before it got better and it was a very severe case.

The next day, Beanie's case was given to their critical care specialist Dr. Niedswecki and her tech Jessica. I cannot speak more highly of both of them. Their knowledge and skill and kindness and professionalism was beyond anything I could express. The most important thing was that I felt how much they cared about my precious Beanie. I felt like they wanted her to get well almost as much as I did...

Beanie was in the oxygen chamber for a week and we came within hours of letting her go, but Dr. Niedswecki changed her antibiotic and we held on another day. Thank God we did because Beanie was sitting up and eating when I came to the clinic the following day.

It took 9 days and yes, it was expensive but worth every single penny. Beanie is coming home today!!!!!

Everyone went above and beyond. Their staff member Ali emailed me pics every day, their tech Rebecca did 2 beautiful drawings of Beanie and even laminated them. They let me hang out as much as I wanted to at any hour of the day and soothed me when I felt hopeless and inconsolable.

This clinic is a godsend. From the front desk (kudos to Jessica P.) to the 24/7 staff to the owner and surgeon Katie Kennedy. I am beyond grateful and recommend this clinic to anyone needing emergency care for their pet.

Thank you Dr. Neds, Dr. Geyer, Dr. Bruce, Dr. Pritchard, Dr. Kingstadt and the techs and staff Jessica, Stacy, Ali, Aleah, Chelsea, Kat, Rebecca, Sarah, Ruben, and Jessica P.

You ALL brought me and Beanie back to life. THANK YOU!

We were so grateful to have found such a caring facility to care for our elder dog that became ill on Xmas eve. Dr. Might, Ali and the rest of the staff were so compassionate and professional guiding us through options which included surgery. In such a stressful and uncertain time the loving care they took of our dog sending us pictures after surgery and keeping us posted before/after plus answering an endless supply of questions was so comforting. Over the years we've had multiple experiences with both of our dogs in Dallas and Waco but nothing compares to the level of care and the state of the art facilities Violet Crown was able to provide.

Had a wonderful experience! You could really tell everyone there loved animals. A great environment for your pet to heal. I came in with my ex girlfriend who's elderly dog had been attacked by 2 other dogs. She had 18 lacerations and general issues being over 14 years old. I felt our pup received the best care possible, staying multiple days to heal. We were able to visit anytime and had constant updates on her progress. Wanted to say thanks to the doctors and staff for being so amazing!
