To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the care my family and our French bulldog puppy received at Westwood Regional Veterinary. As a resident of Westwood for 23 years and a devoted pet owner, I expected far better treatment and communication from a local veterinary practice that should prioritize the well-being of its patients.

When we first visited the facility for a wellness check to establish care for our French bulldog, we were optimistic about the visit, we were surprised and concerned when recommended a full-grain kibble diet for our dog based on his breed. This advice seemed outdated and inappropriate given what we’ve learned about proper canine nutrition.

Our second visit, however, was even more upsetting. When our puppy was seven months old, he suddenly began limping and holding one leg up, which caused us significant concern. We promptly scheduled an emergency visit. After taking our puppy to the back for an X-ray and consultation, they informed us that for an additional $256, an orthopedic specialist would review the results within 24 hours. We agreed to this, desperate for answers.

What followed was unacceptable. Despite multiple follow-up calls over the next 15 days, we received no communication from the practice. Eventually, we were called stating that our puppy required surgery, would need to be casted for 3 to 4 weeks, and would then require physical therapy. This diagnosis seemed excessive, especially since during that time, our puppy had already recovered and was walking, running, and playing without any signs of pain.

During this ordeal, we consulted with our regular veterinarian, from Hillsdale, who confirmed that our puppy had recovered without the need for invasive treatment.

Despite my efforts to resolve this matter directly with Westwood Regional Veterinary — including a request to speak with the facility’s CEO — my concerns were ignored. After waiting a full month with no response, I felt compelled to share my experience publicly to warn others about the lack of communication and overall poor treatment we endured.

I hope this letter serves as a call for Westwood Regional Veterinary to reflect on their communication practices and patient care. No family should have to endure the stress and frustration that we experienced.

Sincerely,
Yoshi MariniI

On Friday 1/31/2025 I brought my 8 year old French bulldog Marcella in to WWRVH on emergency having what I believed to be a seizure. Within a couple of hours she went into at least 2 more episodes. Thank God Dr Cattiny was there that day. As I have tremendous faith and respect that he will always do what’s best for my pets. I must also thank with all my heart those who were involved with Marcella’s care. Tabitha ,Chris, Lewis, Joey, Darwin… I know the list is longer and I apologize to those I may have missed.
She was stabilized, underwent bloodwork and a CT scan, then admitted overnight.
6:30am Sat morning I arrived to visit, only to find she had another episode. I was informed she should be transported to a neurologist in south jersey. I honestly did not know if my girl was going to survive the next few hours. My husband and I rushed Marcella to the specialist where she was admitted through ER, underwent an MRI and spinal tap. Followed by surgery a few days later.
( Left total ear canal ablation with lateral bulla osteotomy and right myringotomy) to treat a pretty sever bi lateral inner and middle ear infection. Marcella is home now, resting and recovering beautifully!!!!
Dr Cattiny along with his amazing team of technicians /nurses/ assistants… kept my girl alive. There is no doubt in my mind and in my heart Marcella is alive today and thriving due to the immediate and intense care Dr Cattiny and staff gave to her. There will never be enough thank yous to express how grateful my family and I are for everyone involved in saving our little girl ! 🧡

Dr. Silver , Taylor , and ALL the staff have been amazing. I genuinely am grateful for them. I brought my snake Joey here January 19th for the first time after being recommend by a friend. Joey has needed a few check ups after that and every time they are helpful, go out of there way for you and your animal. They explain what’s going on throughly. They have made me feel welcomed and comforted. Very satisfied!!! They def gained a new customer for any of my pets !

What an amazing place to take your pets/loved ones. Last week our daughter's rabbit was not eating so we took him to this so called veterinary Tuesday. Paid $400+ for the x-ray which was no problem. All he says is there's nothing wrong with him and just has a lot of fur in his stomach and he will be fine. Following day still was not eating so we called the vet again. Apparently too busy or wasn't there so we left a message last Wednesday. This clown called back today asking what's going on I saw you called last week. Guess what we took the rabbit to another vet and he ended up passing away from having a seizure. Everything internal was all inflamed. He goes I'm so sorry to hear that. They are very fragile animals. YOU DON'T SAY! There 3 star reviews show why the overall review score is trash at this dump. Good luck running this so called veterinary. How this place gets any business or takes their pets when there are 100 of other places in the nearby area blows my mind.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Cattiny. He is a true example of someone blessing this world with his God-given talent and profound love for what he does! As a French bulldog breeder, I searched for a dependable team of doctors as my go-to for my girls, their litters, and to recommend to my local furever families. WWRVH has become that place for me! Dr. Cattiny is a top surgeon and I know I never have to worry when my babies are in his hands. Not only is he incredibly skilled, but his generosity towards animals in need shows true kindness.
We also see Dr. Hartwick often and she is absolutely wonderful! Her interaction and patience, both with animals and their parents, is awe-inspiring. As I tell all of my puppies’ new owners, you are in the best hands at this hospital!

XOXO from Simone & Frankie!

Really reasonable prices and also had immediate availability due to cancellation. The vet and vet assistant were both wonderful. I am looking forward to coming back to this vet as my new primary vet for our dog. They also have boarding options and a very modern clean facility and plentiful free parking.

I will no longer be taking my animals to this hospital. I called and spoke to BRENDA and she was incredibly rude. There was an issue with my phone number under another person and when asked to remove MY number she denied being able to do this and gave major attitude. When asked her name she told me "It doesn't matter to you" and hung up the phone. Upon calling back 7 time she kept hanging up on me. My aunt also called as she had an issue with her dog and the same thing happened as it came up under my name. What if this was an emergency with my animal? HORRIBLE
