I brought my pet here for close to two years. Through that time we saw a few different vets in this office. The first two we initially saw we really liked winded up leaving the clinic and the new ones we saw could never remember my dogs history and would always have to re-explain.

Every time we had a question or wanted to ask a follow up through a photo or discuss they would require us to go in and pay the fee to come in. And in the end I winded up just showing the photo to the dr (same ones I sent). It seemed to me that they always wanted us to come in even if it was just a quick follow up question that added up.

The recommendation for any new cysts my dog had was to have surgery, even though we already done a cytology and went through the first surgery with them. I just wish they had spent the time to talk through other care options instead of immediately recommending the surgery knowing how long the recovery process is. In addition when the vet recommended surgery again I had to remind them he just had it done in this office a year ago (that disappointed me). I see a vet now who weighs options and risks thoroughly which I much prefer.

The front staff is friendly, so I did appreciate that.

I’ve been taking my rambunctious Shepsky here for four years. There has been some veterinarian turnover though that hasn’t been an issue for us, as all the vets we have seen have been wonderful doctors. Dr. Vielma (now moved out of state) and Dr. Dunn are great communicators, highly knowledgeable, and ensure our concerns are heard. Front desk staff and ancillary staff have been very patient and kind towards my reactive dog. Thankful for all that yall do. 🩷

The vet Elizabeth V was so kind and gave me a lots of great advice. She took her time, listened and was very helpful.. Nice place, easy, no wait. All the staff were very nice and organized. upfront about costs.

I called Crestview Vet on Airport this morning to request a refill on a prescription that was written and recommended by Dr. Vielma six months ago when I brought my dog in for a visit. Completely unrelated to the reason for our visit, Dr. Vielma noticed that my dog was nervous and prescribed a medication to help with situational anxiety. At the time, I expressed that my dog had previously received a similar prescription and it was helpful in situations when my dog (or most dogs, for that matter) might experience anxiety. I was disappointed that Dr. Vielma asked her staff to call me back and request an appointment for my dog to “examine” him and talk through the symptoms, which she had already experienced just months ago. I pushed back on this request, and was called again by her staff insisting that I bring my dog in (as soon as today) for an evaluation. Disappointed that the first priority is to put my dog in a situation to trigger an anxious response, when the request I made was for a refill of the medication that Dr. Vielma recommended.

I'm starting to question some of the practices at this clinic. I feel like I'm always quoted for expensive tests that are made to sound like they are a 'big necessity'. I just spent $300 dollars on a Lab test (my cat has a bad ear infection), and the vet said she had never seen the kind of bacteria she found in her cytology. But after almost two weeks waiting for the results, it turned out to be a very common kind of bacteria. Thank god, but then again, I do wish my vet had not made me freak out and made me think this could be something way worse and severely uncommon. My thoughts are... being it is a common bacteria, why did it require such a formalized test to find out what it was?

For added context - I've spent a total of $1,706 here since February. The diagnoses: recurring ear infections.

The positive? Everybody is very friendly and I feel comfortable coming here, but lately I do feel like the prices have been adding up extraordinarily.

I had a good first experience at Crestview Vet. I took my 6 month old kitten to be looked at, and they were nice and caring of her. My only complaint was that my appointment was at 10:30AM, and for what should’ve been at most a 30 min appointment to give my cat a vaccine and conduct a stool test, I was there for two hours. It felt like I was there for a very, very long time.

I am overwhelmed by how above and beyond this place goes. Dr Dunn is so thorough and really truly cares! This is the best veterinary place I have ever been to. My cat stopped moving and looked like he was in a lot of pain last week. Dr Dunn asked very thorough questions and did a very detailed examination to determine the cause and diagnosis for him. I am so thankful to have found this place.

Love crestview, they treat our pups so well and are pretty reasonably priced. My dog especially gets SO stoked when she goes I’m concerned she likes being at the vet a little too much.
