Having just moved to the country, we were unsure where to put our trust in our dog's care. Took the referral of multiple people at the dog park to go to Heart of Chelsea Prospect Heights and we could not have made a better decision. Dr. Torchia did not just do a wellness check but took the time to explain every single thing about our pet to us. The clinic also shared a possible treatment plan (with cost estimates) without being pushy. The entire experience made us feel both our pet and us were being cared for. 10/10!!!

We had our first visit with Dr. Torchia today and I was absolutely blown away. He was so thorough and his team was so accommodating. It was very clear that he is super knowledgeable and that he cares tremendously about my pet's well being. Dare I say - best vet visit I have ever experienced? And he is a University of Florida grad - go Gators!

TL/DR: Don't pass go, don't collect $200, just take your furry friends to Dr. Torchia and his team at Heart of Chelsea.

You won't find a higher level of care or attention to detail anywhere else. Dr. Torchia spayed my girl Gigi when she was just rescued, and we were so happy to reunite with him when we moved to back to Brooklyn and found out that he was opening this practice. I truly can't say enough about how wonderful he is. From ongoing wellness check-ups, to performing emergency surgery on a friend's dog that was attacked while in my care, and keeping me sane when Gigi had to have TPLO surgery, we have been through a lot with him. I won't go anywhere else...ever again. We have also seen Dr. Pueblo, who was just as helpful and kind. It is clear that every single one one of the capable staff members cares deeply about the health and wellness of both the humans AND animals that walk through their doors.

They took such good care of my cat buttercup. I was very worried about my little bug and the whole team was super helpful. Bug was very comfortable there and they took such good care of her. Everything was explained and pricing was transparent the entire way. No surprise charges. Highly recommend.

There is simply no comparison in the quality of care, attention, and kindness you will receive from Dr. Torchia and his team. The staff take their time with you and genuinely seem to care.

Also, Dr. Torchia saved my dog's life... what more is there to say!

We have been receiving care at Heart of Chelsea for a few years now and they are simply the best. Both staff and practitioners are always so attentive and caring.

We recently started going to the location near Barclays and have been seeing Dr. Torchia for all of our pup’s needs. I am absolutely blown away by the level of care we have been receiving. Dr. Torchia goes above and beyond. He is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time needed to make sure we understand our pup’s condition and feel confident and comfortable about treatment plans. You really notice a difference in quality and support and I cannot be more thankful or recommend him enough. He is truly passionate about his work and such a genuine person, it definitely shows in the care he provides.

For my first puppy vet visit I was a little nervous. The staff were so lovely and understanding. Explained everything in detail and I am completely confident my pup's life-time care is in good hands. Truly felt they cared for him as much as I do. Highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Andrew Torchia is an extraordinary vet. Of all the 25-30 vets I've known in my lifetime he is the best, and many of them have been great. He spayed my kitten and very clearly prepared me for what to expect as well as discussing a difficult issue and possible solutions for another cat he has treated, giving me a medication to try. His knowledge and thoroughness is impressive. For ex., he's the only vet who knew about purines in cat food of several I've asked including a couple of excellent vets at VERG (Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group). I'm lucky that he has treated all three of my cats. He is an outstanding communicator, a natural teacher who clearly cares deeply about his feline (and I'm sure other animal) patients. He is a treasure. All the staff I've dealt with at Heart of Chelsea have been very accommodating and super nice as well.
