Im not one to make reviews often. At all really. This might be my first. My cat passed away two weeks ago and the staff let me down easy. They were some of the nicest most kind hearted people. They did whatever they could to help, but they were open and honest just how I wanted it to be. They gave me a beautiful urn, cremation letter and a nose print of my cat. And I just received a letter of their condolences through the mail today. They’ll take care of you. ❤️

I needed CVRC when my cat jumped off the counter and busted his leg. He ended up with a ruptured CCL and luxating patella.

The Urgent Care I took him to after the injury (not CVRC, I don't live locally) told me he needed surgery and warned me that it would likely be a month or more before getting in with a surgeon.

I called 3 different clinics and made appointments with all 3. CVRC was the earliest available appt (only about a week later) and said they could do surgery within a couple of days of the appt, as long as my cat was a candidate. The second clinic was a couple of days after CVRC, and they could also do the surgery shortly after the appt. The third clinic was about 1.5 weeks after that, and their surgery would be up to 6 weeks after the appt.

I went to CVRC and was SO impressed. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The clinic was clean and calm. The vet nurse who took my cat's history was attentive and thorough.

Then there's Dr Wagner. He deserves a comment all his own! He came in and thoroughly but simply explained my cat's injury and the surgical options, which one he recommended and why. He clearly knows his stuff and cares about doing the right thing for your pet. My cat's urgent care imaging wasn't the best, and I feared CVRC was going to want it repeated (requiring sedation again, and more $) but Dr Wagner was able to figure out what he needed by exam and the imaging we had, and didn't require more imaging to proceed. He went over post-op care, meds, and answered all of my questions. I felt heard and cared about, not rushed which is so common nowadays.

I immediately booked my surgery and canceled with the other 2 clinics.

So from injury to surgery was only 1.5 weeks with CVRC, such a relief compared to the estimate I had been given!

My cat's surgery went smooth, the clinic kept him overnight for monitoring and pain control before sending him home, which I appreciated. They welcomed my call to check on him that evening, sent me pics of him recovering, and let me know they had given him a sweet nickname and were loving on him a lot. Once he was home, Dr Wagner was very responsive when I called for questions/concerns/med adjustment needs.

My kitty is now doing great. He went from near complete lameness to an almost normal gait already, in about 2 months.

If I have a future need for surgery for my pets, I will use CVRC.

The team is truly incredible. From the moment I called in to leaving the animal hospital we felt compassion and support. We could not have gotten luckier to have found them while navigating the suffering of our sweetheart Juniper. I am so grateful for the love the team shares for animals and people.

They did a great job with our dog who was nonstop vomiting and sick. They were able to see us late on a Sunday with no wait and the vet was knowledgeable and friendly. They presented treatment options transparently and without pressure. I would definitely recommend and am happy it is fairly close to home as we will be using them again in the future if needed!

During consultation the Veterinarian explained the issue and procedure very clear and understood.
Communication was very appreciated by calls, email, and text.
My dog is home resting now. The surgical area looks very good.
Very happy with the outcome. Veterinarians, assistants, and office staff were all very nice and welcoming.

Cascade has helped us through the sudden decline and compassionate euthanasia of two cats over the years. Both extremely traumatic experiences for us but the team were so kind and compassionate - every single person we encountered, every time. Yes, it’s expensive but good care is. I would not hesitate to take my babies there again in the future.

I sent the following email to Cascade. I was okay with the Urgent Care received but please avoid Internal Medicine and go somewhere else!
--
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with several aspects of the service I received from your Internal Medicine Department regarding my dog, Prince. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly, they remain unresolved and have caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. My concerns include the following:

Failure to Provide Internal Medicine Consultation Notes
I have repeatedly requested the internal medicine consultation notes, which are necessary for insurance reimbursement and continuity of care. My first request was made on January 25, 2025, then February 5, 2025, and then I followed up again on February 11, 2025. I also called to receive the consultation notes. Despite these efforts, I have yet to receive the full documentation, even though it has been over a month. This delay has significantly impacted my ability to receive reimbursement from insurance and has made it more difficult to ensure a smooth transfer of care to Sunstone Internal Medicine. In contrast, when I transferred Prince’s care to Sunstone Internal Medicine, they provided his documentation the very next day.

Overcharging for Vitamin B12 (Requested Since January 30, 2025)
On January 30, 2025, I requested a prescription for Vitamin B12 so that I could order it online at a significantly lower cost. This request was declined, and I was instead required to purchase it through your office at a much higher price. I later discovered that the same medication was available online for approximately $10, whereas I was close to $100 at your facility—a tenfold markup. Despite bringing this issue to your attention on February 5, 2025, I have yet to receive a refund. Additionally, I was charged for syringes and needles that I did not request or need. Despite raising this issue on February 5, 2025, I was never refunded for these unnecessary supplies. On February 6, 2025, I was informed that there was an $8 discrepancy that would be refunded, but to date, I have not received this refund.

Misleading Recommendation for Fecal Transplant Treatment (Recommended January 29, 2025; Found Incorrect February 10, 2025)
On January 29, 2025, Dr.Wan recommended purchasing fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) capsules from Animal Biome, stating that traditional FMT was not available at your facility. Based on this guidance, I purchased the capsules for $225. However, after consulting with Sunstone Internal Medicine on February 10, 2025, I was advised that the Animal Biome capsules do not guarantee the presence of the specific bacteria my dog needed. As a result, I ended up pursuing a proper fecal transplant with Sunstone instead, rendering my purchase entirely unnecessary. I would have expected more thorough and informed guidance from a specialized internal medicine team.

Failure to Provide Timely Access to Cerenia (February 7, 2025)
On Friday, February 7, 2025, I called to request a refill of Cerenia after Prince started vomiting again. Initially, the ER veterinarian refused to fill the prescription and stated that I would need to bring Prince in for another exam. This was an unreasonable request given that I had already brought him to urgent care for vomiting and was actively working with Internal Medicine for his ongoing gastrointestinal issues. After I voiced my concerns, the ER team spoke with Dr. Wan, and I was then approved to receive Cerenia.

However, when I arrived at the clinic before 6:45 PM to pick up the medication, I found that the office was closed—despite being assured twice that it would be open until 7:00 PM that night. I had even called around 5:00 PM to confirm their hours and let them know I was coming before closing. Given that I live 20–30 minutes away, the staff should have at least contacted me to inform me of their early closure. Instead, I had to make another trip the following day to pick up the medication, causing unnecessary inconvenience and delaying treatment.
